Hi Everyone

Can anyone help me with this?... I'm using a serial cradle to HotSync my m105 and was wondering what is the actual transfer rate that it uses and whether there's a way to boost this transfer rate.

My m105 has the well known memory retention problem, so I need to completely reinstall everything every time the batteries are changed... which is a pain at the current transfer rate.
Another question. How come when I reinstall everything, most programs are in the "unfiled" category?

Thanks everyone.

Not being familiar with the m105, I'll answer your question with a question. Can it be powered externally while you change the batteries? Example external sources of power are a automobile cigarette lighter outlet or a USB powered cable.

I know that earlier PDA devices were excruciatingly slow using a serial port and there wasn't much you could do to speed them up. I would think that you should be able to squeeze 56k to 115k speeds out of it on a serial port. USB port speeds can go a lot faster, if the PDA itself can keep up with it.
