I just got a T2. I looked everywhere for an answer to this question, so please forgive me if it has already been covered.

I would like to be able to map the silkscreen Menu button to one of the hardware buttons on the T2. This would allow me to access application menus with the T2 in the collapsed configuration. Is there a way to do this? Or is there a way to access menus without using the silkscreen.

Background: I like using my T2 with mapping software in my car. I prefer to keep the T2 collapsed in the car. It is very difficult to use a stylus in a car and would be much easier if I could just press on one of the hardware buttons.

Also, is there anyway to map the backlight control to a hardware button?

Thanks

Hi!

You can remap the hardware buttons (Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, Note Pad, Voice Memo and also the little silkscreen Star(Favorite)) in : Preferences -- Buttons. Unfortunately, you can't remap the Menu button.

Concerning the backlight, just press and hold the Power button on the top of the handheld and the "Adjust Brightness" box will appear. You can use the 5-way navigator to control it.

Hope you will enjoy your new Palm! It's a greeaat device! ;)
