SD Card recommendations

Ok it is time to get couple of SD cards I was thinking of getting two 512 MB cards. Just wondering what cards people are recommending I see lots of SanDisk for sale, but also other brands which sell for more any recommendations on what to get and why. Is speed the main issue here or are there other considerations I should be looking at.

Panasonic SD cards are great. Excellent compatibility and speed (for the cards >= 256 Mb).

I second Panasonic!! Stay away from Sandisk.

Do you know who is selling them at good prices? Or are they sold under a different brand?

I bought mine at Brando's (http://shop.brando.com.hk/) but the biggest they have is 256 Mb.
