T3 Screen "darker" area?

I have just noticed, and it may be new or may have been there since I got it 2 weeks ago, but the screen on my T3 is slightly darker at the bottom where the Virtual Graffiti area is. It is not really noticeable in portrait as the area is darker then, but in landscape with a white background in that area it is clearly a shade or two darker for about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Is this normal as it is the edge of the screen? Anyone else have this?

let me guess, your screen is bluish? right? its common.. (well i think so) If you just bought that (less than 30 days) exchange it IMMEDIATELY while you can

I am not sure if I would consider it bluish but if I had to choose it would be bluer rather than yellow. Unfortunately exchanging it is not an option since I live in South Africa on contract and bought it in the US when I was home for a visit. Will it get worse? At least I took out an extended warranty I guess.
