View Full Version : Sudden Fatal Alert

I notice this morning that each time I do a Global Find on the T3 (no matter what I'm searching for), I get a Fatal Alert; the error message is the same in each instance:

SystemCompatibility.c, Line:69, Invalid card #

I can do a soft reset to get out of the freeze, but I cannot do a Global Find without encountering the problem.

Recent installations -- and, therefore, I suppose, potential "suspects" -- are AgendaVu, Handyshopper, and iSilo 4.01 (although I'd had & used the previous version of iSilo without incident).

I've deleted AgendaVU, but that has not solved the problem.

Has anyone else encountered the same problem? If so, has anyone identified a likely "suspect" as the cause? I would be grateful for any suggested solutions.

Thanks in advance.

could be Docs To Go known problem. Go to that app and uncheck "Global Find" in all.

Gekko,

I went to Documents to Go and, as you suggested, unchecked the "Global Find" in all preference. Unfortunately, the Fatal Alert problem persists. Many thanks, however, for your suggestion.

You are not alone I was having the same exact problem! Thank you for the fix I have been frustrated trying to figure out the cause of the error.

To complete -- I trust -- the saga: After performing a hard reset (which at first merely reimported the problem), I reinstalled Documents to Go -- pinpointed as a logical "suspect" in a related forum -- and then (and only then) put back the recently installed other programs (AgendaVU, Handyshopper, iSilo 4.01). Result: The Fatal Alert problem is solved. Thanks to all for your constructive suggestions.

There is a freeware app called "FindTester" which will tell you what app is causing the error.
