In the past (OS4) I had a app' that monitored all my app's on my PDA.
It was called Soft Track.
Not only did it list the app's as they were installed but it allow had a section that would allow one to enter in the reg. code and UserID, or name.
Since upgrading my PDA to a OS5 unit I have found that it no longer works, so I was wondering if anyone know of a equal alternative to this application?
Thank you
trackerdog works well in keeping everything up to date but i don't think it lets you note down reg codes
probably not what you're looking for

There is an 'info' section in TD associated with each app which could be used to store reg codes etc....

probably not what you're looking for Also, TrackerDog is NOT a good idea if you're beta testing software - - it will post the beta info on the website . . . :(

I wrote the author of TD and he responded by the following:
Hi,
Currently, TD does not have the functions to allow you doing that.
I have put this requirement into TD to do list.
Since I don't have too much on the development of TrackerDog,
I don't think I can finish it by Q3'04.
Regards,
Sam
Any other possibilities that anyone may know if???
Thanks

Is this the one you are talking about. If so then it is updated for OS5 now.

Well I will take a look at this one but it already appears that it does not find all the app's that are already on the PDA...
It does allow one to enter pass codes and additional info but well I guess unless the original company updates I will have to try other things.
The SoftTrack that I am referring to is at the following link:

I thank you all for assistance in trying to find a app that will offer me what SoftTrack did.
Thanks again

I found that Bozidar Benc was the creator of SoftTrack that I was looking for.
I sent him a e-mail to ask if it was possible or in the works to make a OS5 version and this ws his response:
Sorry, I don't have any plans for SoftTrack.
Best regards,

TD doesn't let you enter details, or any info into it even though there is a section in the drop down menu that says details.
The author said maybe in the 3rd quarter of 2004...
I was hoping for something a little sooner.
Anyway TD just looks for updates for the app's that are already installed on your PDA.
I am looking for a program that will search the PDA for all app's and then offer me a area to add the UserID and reg. codes.
Do you know of anything like that???

Configure?
I installed the conduit but it still doesn't let one add details.
It will search the net for updates.
And from what I can tell it doesn't really do a good job at that.
It is telling me that there are updates when there aren't.
Well its not what I was looking for anyway.
Thanks
Guess the search continues.

oh i mean that for larry because he couldn't get TD to work

Yes it doesnt at all do what was required. However, it does seem to do a reasonable job of update listings. I just tried it and it successfully identified 6/7 apps that needed an update. One it got entirely wrong (Today which it said was 1.8 but I had already installed the very recent 2.1 version). Not too bad for free. Also the list export to memo is quite useful but nothing that FileZ wont do anyway....

Ok got a response form Palmgear.com. they informed me that there was a app just added today that meets my wish list (all most).
Its called RegMaster and it can be found here:
http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&SID=445C415F-57A3-419B-9961C01C9B49B069&prodID=53256
It offers me all that I wished for except it does not scan the PDA for existing app's and version.
You have to manually enter the name etc. so that is time consuming.
But at least there a app that once all the info is in will serve my purpose.
I would recommend this to all.
Thanks for all the input and help.
