When will there be 320*480 for $200?

I think/hope the T|T3 was just the tip of the iceberg. I bet that in their spring product run, that palmOne will kill (discount) the Z|71 in favor or pretty much the same thing, but with a 320*480 pixel screen (maybe a slightly improved camera, processor, RAM?).

But ... is this likely? I really really want a PDA with the kind of features the T|T3 has--only no BT, I don't care if there's a slider or not, and like ... 200MHz/32MB instead. I don't care if there's a camera. Just ... a plain beef and potatoes PDA! This is all I want darn it!

And a CF slot is nice ... can't have everything though ...

Okay I wandered--the question. When will we get a 320*480 device out of palmOne with the PIM upgrades of the T|T3 but with toned-down specs...for $200? Maybe by this summer in palmOne's Spring Run?

One item is the pricey 320x480 LCD screen. Probably the most expensive part of the PDA. In other words, if you want a big screen, you have to spend big bucks.

BTW, what your asking for is shared by numerous other users.

Also, don't expect to see a CF slot on any new Palm OS units. The CF card has mostly been replaced by SD and I really don't expect it to make a comeback.

You never know. Last week, some folks took advantage of the Office Depot deal (pricing mistake), which was $199 for the palmOne Tungsten T3.

Best bet is to do what we financially challenged people do, buy used models or buy display models that a store is no longer going to stock. I seriously doubt we will ever see brand new HiRes+ PalmOnes or Clies for $200, but keep the dream alive!;)

I'm sure you guys know of the T|E2...rumored to have a 320x480 screen, BT, and an Intel CPU. I strongly believe that this may be the one...that is $199.

I made it in paint. It is shorter than the T|E and its screen is narrower ... I only used Paint to make it. I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope the T|E2 will be this for $200.
