The screen will turn off completely while listing to mp3s in realone player. The user manuals say that the screen will "auto dim" in power save mode while listing to mp3s. My palm's screen hase never "auto dimed" befor it always turns the screen off completely. Do your T|E's screens turn off completely too? Or is this just a freek thing that my T|E does while listing to mp3s.

This is normal because the auto-dim feature and the screen-off feature are actually two different things. The screen-off feature turns the screen off after a set amount of time as configured in the RealOne Player. The auto-dim feature dims the screen automatically if the battery level falls below a certain percentage. The auto-dim feature is a general setting that affects all applications.

Pocket Tunes, a popular third-party MP3 player, has some more configurable power options, but the scenerio I mentioned above addresses the RealOne Player that comes bundled with the palmOne Tungsten E.

Thanks,
Lance

I personally use my Te to listen to Mp'3 a lot.

I use dimmer as well and I get approx 4-5 with tunes. I have my dimmer setiing to between 19-25 average and just go. I know this because I have 52 hindi songs onm my mmc card average 4-5 min's long and it will them entirely before giving me awarning. I have stopped using my minidisc player as it saves me carrying both now. the palm Te is so cool. By the way what appliaction do you guy's use. I use meromedia player it is cheap and free. It camer with my nero software and makes hindi songs taht are 12mb in mp3 down toabout 2-3 average.
Cheers
