How do you take a jpeg and convert it to a picture format that wondersilk will recognize?

I just loaded the .jpg image into Windows Paint and then did a "save as" selecting 256 color Windows .BMP format. Often, the colors get mangled, but that's typical of ANY kind of conversion. Apps like Paint Shop Pro or PhotoShop or others may have tools to better convert, but I typically just use Paint.

Sorry I am an idiot. I tred what you suggested and it still doesn't work. I'll keep trying.

It's a shame that it only supports 256 colors seeing as how the NX will support 45K color depth.

rclodfelter, do you know how to turn a jpeg into a format that can be seen on wondersilk?

Dude, click on "save as", rigth below where the filename is , is a window for file type, click on the down arrow at the far right of the box, scroll through the various file types, choose bitmap (.bmp), name your file, place it in whatever folder your heart desires, and finally click save at the bottom

So far, every image I have done a "Save As" and selected a format of "256 Color Bitmap" and named the file with a .bmp extension has either imported into WonderMaker without error or the resulting picture looked like crap due to the color conversion. In ny case, as long as you have the dimensions and the color depth correct, it should work. What version of WonderMaker are you using?

I was going to suggest using photoshop to dither the images but that seems to be too taxing at the moment.
