After many month, i finally decide to release a first (preview) version of rick dangerous for palmos. You can download it here :

Sony : http://capers.free.fr/rick.zip
PalmOne : http://capers.free.fr/palm_rick.zip

This version may not work on some devices (mainly landscape or Garmin 3600) but those problems will be fixed soon.

A greyscale and lo-res version will come too !

looks very similar to atari st version whitch works great with castaway, so it will be great for people not able to run castaway

As you move along in this beta / alpha version, will there be sound?

And I'm sure you'll have hard key mapping support?

"One advantage the Amiga version has over the ST version is that sounds can be played simultaneously, so when you shoot one of the baddies you hear the bullet AND the "waaaaaaa" every time. Well, I think it rocks at least."

that is from this site:

I have new idea. What about Rick getting bigger (pseudo 3d) while he is killed like in Rick II (and Rick I C64 version).

Hi

just installed the first version posted and had some problems. First, my tab categories got screwed (Zlauncher 4b5.3 with which I have had no problems at all for 2 weeks) including loss of the Unfiled category (!) and uplication of the Main category which is a bit scary!! I fixed this after some messing around and soft resets etc. Then when I launched Rick, the splash screen just 'vibrates' and I can get no further......FYI Tungsten T1. Anyone else had this problem??

Does appear to work on the T3. The title screen appear and then the high school screen and then it just repeats the two over and over. No response from any of the buttons or the drop down menu button.

Hey Chrilith, it runs great on my zire 71, but i would really like configurable keys (or maybe just 2 different control schemes if that's easier), because the joystick style 5-way navigator on the zire 71 can only move to one side at a time so jumping to a side or crouching underneath something is really hard that way.

Keep up the great work, i really like scummVM and Rick seems to become really nice too.

There's another version of this game on the front page of Cliesource. Looks extremely familiar with Crilith's version... but with sound!

edit: Please scratch all that!!

Chrilith's version, even without sound, it's far superior to the version posted on Cliesource. Better controls and hi-res graphics.
