Well; it doesn't work on my T2. :|
Any ideas? Tried resetting, and hard resetting; and it still prefers to obey the "auto-off" settings.
Another thing; I didn't buy it for the games, (but installed some anyway) and note that each time I press a hard button it causes a momentary pause. This normal? any fix?
It's a little annoying when playing pinball; prod a flipper and the ball stutters.
For all I know these are standardised well known features etc. thus explaining why I can find no info on them. :)

I guess either:
(1) No-one has the faintest idea what I'm talking about
(2) No-one has the faintest idea what to do about it
or
(3) It's a daft question, and I'm showing my noobies just asking about it.

This won't answer your question, but I think I share a similar problem on my T3.
Everytime I plug my T3 into the cradle, the thing just turns on! And despite setting the "stay on while in cradle" pref to OFF, it still doesn't turn off until I press the power button!
It's a bit off a hassle, really.

i have the same problem. i have a t3 and even with the 'stay on in cradle' set to ON it still shuts off after a short time.

"stay on in cradle" only works with the "security" feature off from what I understand... if you have the built-in "security" app to autolock the handheld after a set time, the "stay on in cradle" will not work. try turning that off and see if it helps.

I read that and practically shouted "genius!" :)
Then went and looked at my prefs. :(
No; I haven't set it to lock after a set time; merely "on power off" and use the 'power' prefs to get it to switch off normally (seeing as you can't actually disable this function)
Oh well; I'll try disabling the security entirely or something. Worth a shot.

huh?!?
you know what? It's still on.
Fixed. :)
Now that means I can either have a handheld that's secure, or one that does as I tell it. Where's the logic in that?
I want the head of the head programmer! ;)
How about a new question; any way of assigning "lock and turn off" to a button (so I don't have to go prefs->security->"tap") Perhaps there's an app? Any way round it?

Do you use a 3rd party launcher? Many of them have lock and off icons that you can tap. However, you will then have to enter a password and turn on security for it to work...
You could also look for TealLock, but I don't know if it functions on OS5.
