I think you did not read Blueprints's question correctly. he was asking for recommendation of cheaper MS equivelent brand, and not compatibility.

I have my free 128mb SanDisk from compusa, and two 32mb Lexar that I used with my nx and camcorder, never had a problem. When I bought the 32mb for my camcorder I was going to get the Sony version but they were a bit more, the sale guys point, do you care what brand memory you put in your pc? Nope, just as long as it works. Lexar and SanDisk MS work.

I have tried two separate lexar lighted 128 MS in the NZ and they tend to get stuck in the device. Not really stuck, but you have to really pull them to get them out. It is like something is catching on the side of the MS when you try to push it down to have the spring loaded slot pop it out. Now I have used both of my 128 lexars without any real problem, but they do not work as good as my i/o data "non translucent," "nonlighted" 128 ms (looks just like the regular Sony MS). Perhaps, it is that there is a slight design modification on lighted translucent Lexar MS. I did not notice this on my on my NX. Anyone else notice this??

Incidently, doesn't Sandisk make MS for Sony (which they rebrand as their own). I remember reading it here during the MS Pro debate.

I have used Sony, Lexar, Sandisk, and a brand called I/O Data brands of memory stick, all with no problems. I like the Lexar ones that have an LED indicator on them, great for devices that don't have activity indicators built in.

Blueprints, I have found a cheap MS at http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/339/C1472/ . It cost US$39.99 for 128 Mb Lexar MS (about S$75). Unfortunately it is an US web, hence you need to order via internet.

I think they should still have. I pre-ordered mine from Tangs on the day they had 12% rebate. On top of that, they also gave me the free gift of screen protector + 16MB MS. Overall a very good deal.
