Hi, I need help. Since last night and without warning, I can't open it.The green light stays open for a minute and then shut itself off . So I did multiple soft resets and always I get to the time and date sreen and it's written "HOLD" and all goes off. No success. Then I did a hard reset, erased all data, soft reset and again it gets to the time and date screen and it's written "HOLD" and all goes off. HELLPPP!

Maybe switch the hold button on the side to off?

I'm sorry.Don't flame me! I was not able to reply as unregistred. For a reason that I don'T understand the system doen't want to accept me as registered when at home! However here I am at work and registered!

So, thanks for the rapid and exact answer to my problem. I feel a bit stupid for that "hold" problem but it won't happen again!!! (not feeling stupid but the "hold" problem!!!

Well, you don't have an exclusive on feeling stupid:)! As I said, it's happend to the best before. Hopefully you feel relieved that it was nothing after all. The problem I think is that one panics and all of a sudden you get this deep sinking feeling that disaster has struck your precious Clie, a fate worse than death:D!

I believe you about having difficulty with registering, even some long time users have had difficulty, thank goodness it's not many. There's always gremlins somewhere, LOL!

Yes you are right Happily I had made a back-up a couple days ago, so the hard reset was not so bad afterall. Thanks again!

Actually, what happened to me twice was that I couldn't turn on the Clie and the HOLD button was off! And the battery was full, too... that scared the sh*t out of me...

The solution to that was a simple reset with a pushpin through the hole on the back side of the Clie...

Thought I should share that.
