I had BackupBuddyVFS free version on may clie s320 two years ago, then I bought clie sj30 so I didn't need it (cause MS Backup).
Now I can use it again with my new t3.
Cool!!!

I just performed a hard reset and a full restore. BBVFS works perfectly.

I installed BBVFS to my T3, placing a copy in ram and also on my SD card. I performed a hard reset but could not assess BBVFS on the SD card. I used the palm launcher and it was not there. I restored my T3 using a hotsync. The BBVFS app was on the card, but only shows up using a third party launcher. I am going to stick with backup man for now.

I finally got my email on the registered version tonight. I'm going to install it and check it out. I've been using the OS5 beta for a while now. I have heard that you *have* to delete any prior version before installing the new one.

Yes, yes, you must delete the old version! I found out the hard way.

I tried BBVFS since I was already registered but still prefer BackupMan although BBVFS did restore perfectly after a hard reset. My reasons are:
1. No mutiple backups (very important for beta testing)
2. Individual Restore list is very slow to scroll
3. Deleting the backup set was also slow.
So I'm sticking to BackupMan for now which worked flawlessly with my T3.

and did not have any problems. Is there something I should know? Mine is working beautifully.
What did you find out the hard way?

Same here - I installed it, ran it, and it said that I had an older version on my expansion card, do I want to delete it? I said yeah, it deleted it and then I was able to backup just fine. Is there anything I'm missing?

Well, when I installed Backup Buddy VFS, over the old version, it totally LOCKED up my TT. I couln't do anything but hard reset it!! I f I had deleted the prior version, which I DID do, I had no problems!

BBVFS crashes my T3 when it starts a timed/scheduled backup. Anyone else seeing this?

Installed the new version last night. Did a manual backup then and an automatic backup happened this morning. No problems.

as I was writing the previous post, I realised how dumb I had been...so I am ZLauncher person and had installed a copy of BBVFS on the card but the moved the RAM copy to the card in ZL also...duuuuhhh. Probably the best way to screw up (ie no copy in RAM not such a big deal if you lose the SD card anyway) but one has to be careful I guess..so, sorry spvvwolfy, I guess I didnt reproduce your situation at all but glad to see you sorted it out.

You needed to look in the card category to see it with the OEM default launcher.
BTW, I find your sig offensive!
