Are there any plam office suties that read OpenOffice documents natively. I don't use any MS products at all and have been quite disappointed at the offerings so far as they all seem to be MS compatibility based.

That's exactly what I am waiting for since I don't use MS Office either.

But I heard that in a future version of OpenOffice you'll be able to save documents in the standard PALM doc format. So you could at least view those files on your palm using any doc reader.

At least I can save my docs in Open Office as word docs and excel docs, but that just feels dirty. Open Office uses an xml format so it shouldn't be hard to code something. I will have to look into it. The beauty of open source is that if I have an itch I can scratch it. I am not that great a coder, but may be able to hack something out...
