I recently did a hard reset. Do I need to reinstall the SD patch for the T3 that I installed before I did a hard reset?

I don't think so because the update is a ROM update. This means that the update replace information in the ROM. The ROM is not reset when you perform a hard reset.

I confirm this. Everything that is in ROM survives a hard reset!

Hi chauzu,
write the shortcut sign followed by a dot and nine (it will look something like a small letter l.9)
You will have to do this where a text input is expected e.g. Note Pad or Memos. If the reply is 10/31/03 12:25:44 you have the ROM update installed.

Question on the shortcuts. It was posted elsewhere that shortcut(dot)6 show the date. When I do a shortcut(dot)6 I get 9/3/03, 10:28 am. When I do a shortcut(dot)9 I get 10/31/03 12:25:44.
Any thoughts on the difference?

I'm not sure if PalmOne is the same way, but the Handera 330 used what was called a "small ROM" and a "large ROM". The large ROM is the major chunk of ROM that holds the built-in apps, OS, etc., while the small ROM held esoteric info that related to the specific hardware. At least that's how I understood it.
Perhaps that would explain the difference in dates. Just a wild guess, though.
