Just a quick question regarding installing the Kinoma 2.04 player. I've got version 2.00 on my Tungsten right now. Do I need to delete the Kinoma from my Tungsten and then install the prc or does it do that automatically when I install the 2.04 prc file?

Kinoma Player 2.0 is installed in flash ROM, as is most other applications on the T3. Therefore, you cannot delete the application. You simply install the new version. The new version will get loaded in RAM. Since the T3 looks in RAM for the application before it looks in ROM, the new version (2.0.4) runs that you installed in RAM instead of the old version (2.0) installed in ROM. The old version is still in ROM, but is ignored because there is a newer version in RAM. I hope this helps.

To add to what Lance said...

Since Kinoma is now in both ROM and RAM, you'll have two Kinoma icons showing in your launcher. Tapping on either one launches the newest version.

Mike,

I don't think that is correct, you will only see one icon, at least that's what I see in ZLauncher though the ROM tag is gone since it's superceded by the one in RAM.

I am not sure about the T3's Application launcher though if that's what you are refering to.

Hmmm. Guess you're right. I don't use ZL, but two icons don't show up in the built-in T3 launcher, either. Must just be a LauncherX thing, because the same duplication happened when I upgraded DTG (in ROM on the T3). Will have to report that one to Mr. Benc.
