Has anyone managed to get a T3 (or a Sony Clie for that matter) to successfully talk to a Nokia 5210 mobile phone?
The phone has infra red (obviously) and I can pass numbers etc back and forth via the PalmOS phone book :) (although not with Beyond Contacts - :( ).
I can use the Phone Dialer to dial out through the phone. :)
I cannot get the SMS program to collect messages - I can send but when I try and retrieve my inbox, I get an alert saying "Not enough memory to complete operation".
I have tried all the Nokia drivers that come with the T3 and have used the Phone Link Update program to see if there is a 5210 driver - there isn't. :(
Suppose I can always use it as an excuse to buy a BlueTooth phone. :D

i had the same problem with a tungsten t
i tried everything, and trawled the web.
i was told various things, from re-load the pilot to the phone type is broken.
i re installed everything on the pilot. No effect.
The 5210 IR ***DOES** work, i got an application for my pc that allows me to send/receive SMS from the pc via IR, and a lot of other stuff like backup the phone book, change the operator and startup logo, etc etc.
So all we need is a 5210 driver, pretty simple to achieve one would think. I'd write on myself if i had time.
I also sent emails to palm support.
I got NO response from Palm "support".
Not exactly confidence inspiring. I wonder will I purchase palm again.....with the advent of Linux on pda's it could be an interesting decision!

k3ls0 :
Don't give up ! Send new message to palmone...
I'm learned that if you use pda you must have lots of time/money to get all to work or to target where are you heading...
And if you are near that you don't buy palm anymore buy new palm zire 72 it have faster and better phone supports or check other pda models like sony clies or compaq ipaqs...
Rebel154 :
Buy bluetooth phone if you want to get your sms messages that can be one reason (and it is faster) why it don't work and check your phone memory...
Both and to all palmonecity.com users :
I will search nokia 5210 driver

I'd forgotten about this thread - it was months ago. Anyway, I did go out and get a free Bluetooth phone from O2 (in the UK) and can now do just about anything from just about anywhere using my T3 and SE Z600. BTW, I gave the Nokia 5210 to my son.
Cheers,
