Just suddenly and recently, I can't seem to open my attachments in Versamail for my T3! Whether it be a DOC2GO file (native word or native excel) or some JPG, it goes into a fatal alert, saying:
memorymgr.c, line:3757 invalid chunk ptr
Anyone else encounter this problem or know where to find the solution?

Sorry, no solution!!! but it also happened to me just all of a sudden. I used to see or save JPGs with versamail, but NOT any longer. Docs to go are just fine. I did a hard reset, restored the rom (I use JackSprat), but to no avail.
I hope some one finds the solution soon!!!

I found that there is a conlict when TextPlus in activated in Versamail. Fatal error occurs if opening attachments with TextPlus activated, but works fine if deactivated in Versamail. If you're not using TextPlus, look for other applications that require activation or utilize system traps,

Already removed TextPlus. I hard resetted and suspected TExtplus was the culprit. No problems on this anymore.

Luky you! I still get problems with JPGs and BMPs. (Preferences.c, Line:271, Pref DB open error - when running MMPluginMGR) I uninstalled the default photo application from the ROM, and probably left the T3 without the means to view photos, but I DID have AcidImage, which had worked pretty well before I had JackSprat&Flash.
Anyway, I reinstalled the rom, deleted everything but nothing. I still cant' see where the problem is, but WARM RESETTING just changes the crash into a simple "no default viewer available" error, with save as the only option for attached image files. Oviously, this is fine since I can then retrieve the images...

UPDATE:
I came across this forum (great search engine, PalmOneCity)

PLEASE EVERYBODY WITH SEND-VIEW ATTACHMENT PROBLEMS.
give a try to Unsaved Preferences.prc, i mean DELETE IT.
All my problems described in the previous post were solved. No fumbling with ROM or JackSprat no more, just begin with the Unsaved (I had DELETED SAVED PREFERENCES, but that was useless, and also it messes your palm. They are hard to get back, i had to restore a backup, it won't let you just copy the file alone).

I get the exact same memorymgr.c error however I don't use Versamail so it can't be the problem (directly).
I get the message randomly when returning from an app to Launcher X. It only happens when Launcher X is active. Do you use Launcher X? ;)
BTW T3 (all latest patches)
Also don't have a file beginning Unsaved so that wasn't the solution.
Anyone got any other ideas?

Sketchy,
are you seeing your list of files with the standard delete applet or with some third party file manager, such as Filez or Fileprog?
The former won't list it (it only lists full applications, not their individual files, or leftovers from previous uninstalls, databases, etc.) so you'll have to use the latter.

I had the same problem. Best cure is to delete UNSAVED prteferences with Filez.
After doing this you will have to do few minor things like recalibrate the digitizer and input a few lost codes for software ... but generally nothing difficult. Worth doing to get the full funtionality of Versamail with other apps for attachments.

Ok, deleted Unsaved Preferences.prc.
Ran Launcher X and get the fatal error as described in the original post.
Any other ideas?

Backup, delete Unsaved prefs in backup (rather move it to another card folder) and restore. Just insist a little with unsaved preferences. Otherwise, I have only an empirical approach to Palm related problems so I can't think what may be the real cause.

I started off with a back-up to my card and PC. Then I deleted Unsaved Preferences in the back-up folder on the PC. Then using Filez, deleted Unsaved preferences from my Palm.
I also had trouble with LauncherX so I deleted this too and re-installed afresh.

Updated LauncherX to the latest version (1.1.1) and the problem disappeared.

Did you ever solve the conflict between TextPlus and VersaMail?
