Power To Go (http://www.palmone.com/us/products/accessories/chargerscablescradles/) is on the left side of the screen. It's a mobile charger for Palms with the PUC (Palm Universal Connector).

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now. It does the job really well, but I haven't really tested it too much to see how many charges I can get out of it. I usually don't drain my battery too low.

Ok so what powers it a battery???
$99.95 wow that is a lot of money.
I personally am looking into a solar charger that from what I am told can charge alot more then just a T3...
Phones games batteries.
What are you thoughts on that??

I haven't tried solar chargers, but I remember reading a post somewhere that showed a rather poorly built solar charger. Taped together cords to get the correct connector end on, and a poorly made device altogether.

The PTG sled sits on the cradle to recharge, the same way your T3 does. It can even be connected to the T3 and they can both sit in the charger, and both will charge at the same time (actually, the Palm charges first, and when it's full, the PTG starts charging.).

Got mine off eBay for $31.00 brand new in sealed packaging. Just waiting for delivery now. There is no way you would get me to spend $100.00 on the thing, however.

I bought mine off Amazon for 50.00. It's pretty handy although you cannot secure the TT3 to power to go with the leather flip cover attached. My own unofficial testing showed 2 full charges and a partial third charge before power to go ran out of gas. It doesn't add much bulk to your Palm and fits nicely in your hand while attached. Charged my TT3 from 5% to 100% in about 30 minutes. Probably only really useful if you use a bluetooth connection a lot or use a keyboard alot (which I do).

Has anybody figured out which UltraThin keyboard drivers work with the PowerToGo sled and the Keyboard when used at the same time?

I'm using the 2.0p drivers and when you have the PowerToGo sled attached and you attach the keyboard the first key stroke tries to start a HotSync.

I have downloaded the 2.1.5T drivers but I haven't tried them yet.

<UPDATE>

The 2.1.5T drivers solve the problem. You can use the PTG and the UltraThin Keyboard at the same time. This is cool.......

twinsdad, is your keyboard Palm's ir wireless one? I'm thinking about getting it but am concerning that my TT3 with PTG won't fit, especially in landscape mode. BTW I got my PTG at Amazon.com for $54 with free S/H. It took only two days to be delivered!

My brother picked up two today, one for him and one for me. So far it looks real nice. Remember, the add-on pack for the Sony UX is $150.00, now that's pricey! If it triples the battery life, then the $99.00 is worth it!

Just a bit of advice. If you're going to buy this, definitely buy it from eBay or Amazon.com. The Palm stores price is outrageous.

Just my .02.

I got mine off of e-bay too, for $45. It comes in handy on long trips when you want to read e-books or play games.

Wow. Don't think I am EVER away from my PC (or A/C power) long enough to justify $100 for this!! I'd say eBay is definitely the way to go ...

Here is the unit at $55 or lower

If you own the T3 and WarFare, this will allow you to play on the road without the "low battery" warning in the heat of the battle.

It's great, I now can use it all day, non-stop, and still have a 100% battery reading!:)

It is a great solution to the short battery life of the T3.

There are also some real cheap units ($12 or so) on EBay that use AA batteries. If you just want a emergency type charger, these would suffice. If you anticipate regular use then I'm sure the PPG would work better (especially for around $50).

Question...
I assume that this added sled like unit to thicken the T3...
That said I also assume none of the cases made for the T3 will fit when using the Pal Power To Go.
Would I be correct???
Or will it or are there any other model cases that may fit like TT case???
Regardless I just purchased a new one for $41.95
Thanks

I haven't found a T3 case yet that will work with the PTG sled. I use a universal Body Glove case. While it doesn't securely hold the T3 (T3 doesn't attach to the case, although it does have a bit of velcro you can attach to the device that will secure it), it does fit the T3 and the PTG, though it's a bit of a snug fit. The elastic memory card slots also let me carry 4 memory cards in addition to the one that I keep in the T3. I still prefer universal cases over custom cases any day:)

Here's a silly question

Got the PTG from Amazon today, and I press the little battery button and the status light is Yellow, so I figure lets charge it in the cradle, place it in the cradle expecting the lightning bolt light to light but it does not, so is the thing charging or not?, when I attach to the T3 ithe T3 indicates it's charging.. Just wondering what other folks are seeing?

thx

When the PTG is in the cradle, both lights should be lit. One to show that it is charging, and one to show the amount of charge the battery has.

Thanks ryber

This is not good then, cause when just the PTG is in the cradle neither of the lights are on

An update:

When I plug the PTG into my USB "zaplink" charger thingy, the lights light up but not when it's in the cradle...

Bizzare

Ok, somebody hit me with something heavy and blunt, Rule number one plug cradle into wall :-)

Mine was plugged in but loose in the floor power strip.....

Guess I'm just a wee bit jumpy after the SD issues

After I replied to your earlier post, I wondered if that was the case. Happens to the best of us:D

I have one. Love it love it love it love it love it!!!

They recommend not leaving it attached permanently because it keeps your little light on your Palm lit and that can drain the battery. What I do is keep it in my purse and attach it whenever the battery is getting low - and yes, I have to remove the flip cover first (as I presume you would any case I've seen for it). After a short while the Palm is back to 100% and I take the charger off and toss it back in my purse.

I haven't tested it hard, but I seem to get at least 3 full charges from it.

Nice stuff, and definitely worth $50-60.

Well anyone who is interested in a case for both the T3 and PTG.
With a little customizing I have found that my old NX80v Brando side opening case will work.
I have the PTG, and the T3 attached together in my case.
I needed to cut a larger opening so that I could get access to the 5 way navigation buttons.
Other then that since the NX series is thicker then the T3 it can accommodate both, and it is very usable.
To bad that I am looking forward to getting my long awaited metal case this week.
Guess the leather case will work if I am going on a very long trip.
Metal for the other days.
