This is a new one on me...
http://www.proporta.com/detail.asp?id=324
The iSun™ Solar Charger harnesses the power of the sun to charge over 90% of electronic gadgets for free, wherever you are.
Not only does the iSun charger come with all the cables, plugs and adaptors you need to charge almost any small electronic device, it also comes with a standard vehicle cigar lighter socket, so you can plug in and charge/power anything which plugs into your vehicle power outlet.
The price is a bit high though!!! $82.95
Nice idea though.

Someone over at PalmInfoCenter was doing this back in 2001:

But the price is so drastically different!
$82.95 vs $44.00...
WOW
I like the idea, as well as looks, but that is to to pricey for me...

I like the idea of a solar-charger too and found another resource here:
http://siliconsolar.com/pda_solar_battery_charger.htm
Any comments would be nice if someone uses this charger.

Well its better then the second link above, but 1 - 3 hours to charge???
Although I like the Proporta version I would not pay $83. + shipping.
I might consider this one.
But it does not offer the other options to charging that the Proporta one odes.
You can charge with the sun, auto, USB and I assume AC...
Bummer its so expensive, I really like it...
But its not worth that kind of $$$..

I have e-mailed them to see what exactly you get.
I think it comes with a USB cable on one end and a universal Palm on the other.
If I am correct then the cable can triple for a auto charger, USB charger, as well as a AC charger...
I will advise upon their response.
Talestuff (http://www.talestuff.com/) (long-time provider of Palm emergency chargers) has the iSun for $40. They also sell an iSun -> Palm Universal Connector adapter, but if you have a car adapter for your Palm, you can plug it into the cigarette lighter socket that comes with the iSun.

Don't forget to get the special umbrella to your Palm http://1000smilies.com/umbrella.gif
The Silicon Solar panel looks potentially interesting, but I strongly dislike the total absence of specifications. "1-3 Hour Charging Times" and "will charge batteries under standard 60 watt light bulb" don't mean much, especially when the ad is talking about such a wide variety of PDAs. Why are they afraid of just giving us the facts?
The iSun puts out roughly 1/3A @ 6V. The T3's power supply puts out 1A @ 5V, so a single iSun will probably take about 3 times as long to charge your T3. Of course, you can daisy-chain multiple iSun's to get more current, but then you're talking about more serious bucks...
Incidentally, the iSun also works well with most battery chargers that have a separate wall cube. I've used mine with the Maha MH-C401FS (http://www.thomasdistributing.com/mhc401fs.htm) "Cool Charger" (AA/AAA charger) and my cell phone (a Motorola V60) via the cig lighter adapter. It should also work with my digital camera battery charger though I haven't tested that...
