I am currently using Today1.8 and am interested in comparisons that critics of both could offer. Thanks
Also, which app is easier to build skins for.

I use Today 1.8 and think it is great, however Wassup is surely easier to skin for - just going by the amount of skins available for it vs Today 1.8
I have never even tired Wassup, I just might give it a shot - isnt it only like $5 to register?

Wassup has a skin generator generously provided by master skinner Festus440. You can download that from his website (http://www.festus440.happypalm.com/). And yes, the program is only $5 to register.
As far as functionality, Wassup and Today are very similar as they're designed to do basically the same thing. I can't say anything about Today, but Wassup is great. Very customizable, and the skinmaker is a bonus for non-programming clods like me.

Wassup used to be significantly larger...with the latest release of Today, it may be a tossup.

Today caused erratic behavior on my Clie. Even with the Launch at power on turned off, it would occasionally do it anyway. Had a few "fatal alerts" with other programs. Since removing Today and going with Wassup, the fatal alerts ceased and Wassup works great. For the price of a Happy Meal and hungar returning in four hours, it's worth it! :D

wassup, wassup, wassup...
it's the best....and it is only $5.....
Wassup is better... Looks nicer and supports Hires+...

The only problem I see with Wassup is it's name...I don't like turning on my Clie and seeing "Wassup". It reminds me of those annoying Budweiser commercials. I'd rather have it say "Today". :)

I got over that fast....it's better looking and it doesn't cause crashes.....

Today has never caused my palm to crash, wait a minute, now that I think about it my palm has NEVER crashed (had it for 8 months) - quick, find some wood.

I too had a major crash with Today on my NR. Then I switched to Wassup.

Just started playing around with Wassup, but all of the icons are either compressed or chopped on me NX. I think I am dinking with the latest version (1.3.2), so I am at a loss on what's going on.
As it stands right now, it is unusable...can't read anything on the screen, and the look of the icons....really bad.
Any ideas?
Agendus 6.0 Today vs Today 1.8 vs Facer 1.56 vs Wassup 1.32?

Scale of 1 to 10:
Agendus Today view - 5
Today 1.8 - 7
Wassup - 9
Facer - This is a launcher and belongs in that category, but the Today view portion of it - 6

No idea what's going on on the NX front, but on my T665C Wassup is working great. Paid to register it shortly after installing it, and dont' really miss the five bucks. The icons just looked much better than Today's icons.
I keep promising myself I'll use my datebook more often so that I can take advantage of that funky radar view, but I never do, so the radar view is always empty for me. =)

Got excited about wassup and its skin maker, but you still can't change the text color, amd I like dark backgrounds. :/
Text colour can be changed in preferences in the program.
Did you try there?

Like others in this thread I, love the functionality/Look/Customization of Wassup, however I can not stand the name "WASSUP" in the top left corner of my screen.
There is a solution: Download a program called Quartus RsrcEdit, Install to the palm, Open RsrcEdit, In the scroll window select "WASSUP", Select the OPEN button, In the new scroll window select "tFRM 1000", Select the OPEN button, In the scoll window select "Title", Then select Open, Replace "Wassup" with either "Your Name" or "Today" or..., Select OK, Select Done, Select APPLY. Now open Wassup to see your new look.
BECAREFUL as you can customize a lot of apps this way however if your not careful you can screw up a lot of apps as well. Also note if a new version comes out you would have to make this change again.

Just had my first fatal alert on my T615 yesterday. Have been trying to fix it and finally figured out it was Today 1.8. Deleted it and no more fatal alerts. I'm headed off to try Wassup!

Good choice. Today has been known to have bugs.

I'm going to have agree with the majority (if not unanimous voice) that Today has bugs and Wassup runs smooth. Thanks for all the replies maybe this thread will save someone else the headache of having to trouble shoot the same issue.

I have just downloaded V1.3.2 on my NX70V and have encountered the same problem - have you managed to find a solution yet ?

My experience with Today 1.8 is similar to some others. I had a major Crash (restore from Backup!) on my T615. This is the only crash I have had with my Clie and I quickly removed Today 1.8. No crashes since. I liked Today better as an App. It met my needs better than Wassup. I am doing without right now. I have changed the default view on Datebk 5 and use that.
My preference is still for Today, though I use an older version that has yet to show any bugs or crashes. v 1.6 If anyone wants it, send me a pm with your e-mail address. I have both v1.6 and 1.7 saved.
In an earlier thread, someone said he preferred Wassup because it would show individual appts. not just a list of number of appts. However, Today will do that too, if you just change your settings.

I have the NX fix version of Wassup and really like it, HOWEVER I cannot figure out how to get the Appointments to map to datebk5. Really a great program though!
