First of all, I'd like to say I am not trolling here. I just want to know what your thoughts are now that the T3 SD patch has been released, so that it may help me with my own purchase decision. Thanks.

I'm the lone "I don't regret it, but I'm not thrilled" of the bunch so far. I ended up taking my T3 back to Best Buy and going back to my T2 more than a few days ago.
Do I miss the T3? You bet I do.
Do I miss it enough to repurchase today? No.
Am I excited about the OS6 devices on the horizon? You bet.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly... Does my T2 work as well today as it did when I bought it, weeks before the T3 was released?
Absolutely. :)
If it were not for the troubles with SD and sound, I probably would have hung on to my T3. It was very close to a perfect PDA. I miss the DIA very much... but I'm okay enough with my T2 to wait until problems are ironed out before I jump again. I'm a historic early adopter, and I'm trying to curb that. :)

I've owned several Palm PDAs, and my last two were Sony Clie's. This is the best PDA I've owned.
No PDA is perfect and there's always some compromise - be it battery life, lack of camera, whatever.
But this is the best $350 PDA I've owned and there's nothing else out right now that meets my needs better.

As I never had the SD problem, I have been happy with my T3 from the day of purchase 9/26. Yes, there have been some issues (still can't get tasks marked complete on the T3 to sync with Outlook :() but I haven't experienced anything that I didn't expect, with it being a new device.

I'm pretty happy with my T3. Just as Vidge I have had no problems with the SD (I used to place the card locked trying to avoid the problem as much as I could, but just as I installed the update yesterday at night I realized that the lock wasn't on. So I had it read-write for a long time). For me this has been my best PDA.

So what are your thoughts about the upcoming OS6 devices? Are you expecting that the T3 will get the update, will you buy one of these too or do you just feel you don't need it?

I absolutely adore the T|T3; its the current dream PDA, depsite its flaws (maybe the SD issue is fixed; speed is something most people would never notice since its so bloody fast; button layout is goofy though). Its high powered for developers, so theres cool new stuff coming out that wasn't before possible (touting my own horn here ;)
The OS6 units likely won't show up for another few months (March/April is my guess); if you can wait, its an option.
I'm a developer, so I go through a lot of units though.. but wanted to voice a positive T3 post :)

Glad I stuck it out with my T3.
All that is missing is JackFlash / JackSprat, and my Proporta metal case.
BUT yes, but the battery life could be better.
I have been spoiled by my Nx80v.
I thought it would be poor, but it outlasts the T3 by 2.

I bought the T3 and loved it but had a 256 SD fried. I currently have the Treo 600. I love the 600 but am really thinking of going back to the T3. I'm just owrried about frying my new 256 SD card.

I don't expect to see OS6 devices until March or April. I'm not betting on an OS6 update for the T3. If one is forthcoming, fine. But I plan to wait a couple of weeks after the OS6 devices are released and if no annoucement of an update is forthcoming, I'll probably just pick up a new PDA. Assuming, of course, that the OS6 devices are equivalent to the T3. I managed to hold off purchasing an OS5 device for almost a year after their release because I had an NR70V and the NX70 was not a significant enough upgrade to justify another $600. (Bought my NR in May 2002, NX was released in Oct 02 AFAIK.) For me, the hires+ screen, reasonable (64 meg+) internal RAM and reasonable (400MHz+) speed are basic requirements in a new PDA. If the OS6 devices don't have this, I'm hanging with my T3.:D

I think the device was rushed out to market a bit quick! I mean the note pad app doesn't even have a landscape scroll,
that said,
A Palm with Landscape, hi-res, large screen, DIA for $450.00
VERY VERY SWEET!

A couple of persons said that they feel they should have bought another device, what is it?

I don’t regret buying it but I am not thrilled with it, even though I waited until the SD patch was available. I miss the feel of my NX and NZ. No Jog Dial and reading in bed means you must hold the Palm up instead of the Clie resting on your chest. The thing’s dang slippery to hold too. The clamshell Clies are fantastic with a three finger and thumb hold. Some of my apps behave the same as when the NX was first introduced, three or four months till this gets sorted out is my best guess. Then there are the accessories. On the list to be purchased this weekend: Bluetooth access point for home, Bluetooth USB adapter for work, modem and a Palm battery sled. I snagged the car battery charger and a 256 meg SD card when I got the T3.
So why did I buy it? I’m tired of a Grinder Gear Basecamp on my belt all the time. The T3 can hang out in my shirt pocket. Being able to walk from department to department with my “needs” conveniently stored in my pocket is worth its weight in gold. At current prices that’s about $2k. ;) This was a purchase of necessity, at least that’s what I told my wife. :D
So outside of the size and weight, what do I like? The display is great. With Graffiti 1 and the wide input option there is no need for an upstroke for Caps. The voice recorder is more functional than my Clie’s. The stylus is awesome and the overall feel is more “business oriented.” I’m sure I will learn to live with it, but at this time my Clies are not up for sale. ;)

I do like my T3, but I like the design and functionality of the NX series also.
Never mind guess I will have to wait for OS6 devices to come out before deciding on whether to change back to CLIEs or to stick with Palm
