hi you pilots over there
about one week ago i told you about possible t3 recalls...
you know what ? innova germany wont sell any t3 at the moment
because palm really starts to recall their units here.
this sd hungry monster has no software problem
thats the reason why no fix is available..its a real sd card slot
bug, hardware wise. no joke ! you wont belief ?, just wait and see..other shops selling this baby from now seem not to be
very respectable if they keep this news behind the scenes.cmon
tell the truth, its time.

Will beleive it when I see it. If they are recalling are they offering a replacement? What is the compensation? Come on, you have to be specific.

i dont know why i should invent and write stupid stories about
"the future of a handheld" and tell you some lies, just because ??.
this is what i know, what they told me, what will happen
in stores around in germany. i am not chief resposible for t3 recalls, just catched some news today..i wanted to report
, thought some of you would be interested. this is a nice place to talk about palm.whats the deal ??
btw.i cant see the difference between "xy guest" and "xy registered" its both hiding behind i-net alias somehow..

greetings

MaWi:

Don't feel offended, It's just that guests haven't made a good name for themselves in this kind of forums. This obviously doesn't apply to all of them, but many have been unpleasant. I recommend that you register, it's easy and you can get email notifications and make friends here.

And here I had hoped the PalmOneCity registered members would be better behaved than the CS ones.

My mistake.

FWIW to the conspiracy theorists -

I was in Fry's Electronics in San Jose last night and they had a new shipment of TT3s in stock. It looked like about ten on the shelf and another dozen or so in the overstock area.

So much for them not being shipped.

The recall rumor is as believable as Palm buying Sony so that they no longer have to compete with the Clies!!!
Yeah

a few minutes ago i called the mentioned german shop in berlin and got the same information as mawi
...actually not available...
...palm probably will call back the already sold units...
...they are not able to order new t3s until the midth of december from palm, cause palm stopped delivering the units to resellers...

so what? it can't be only a german problem. did nobody have any similar experience in the us, canada or elsewhere?

Russian PalmShop rumored by the phone:
"There is no T3 on the store. Why? Probably, Palm will call back. When will be available? December."
Do your conclusions...

Just to add to the thread: I live in Belgium (that's a country next to Germany), and here the T|3's are still available in FNAC and other stores. From my experience: even if Palm had plans to recall them, the people in these stores usually have no clue.

Take it for what it's worth: some places do not get the same treatment as the USA when there are shortages in production. The fact that some resellers have to wait until next month before being able to get more T|3's is maybe due to the fact that Palm is selling them in the USA first (for the shopping season), but is seeing better sales then expected, and thus put's ROW (rest of the world) on short supply.

I'm still waiting for a patch before bying any SD cards.

Regards, G-San.

There in Russian shops sold TungstenT3 for a 3 weeks. Now sales are stoped.
The reason I was told in the stop: there is a rumor, that devices will be called back.

That is the "KEY word" there is a "rumor".
Not according to what I have found.
They are stating that there is a problem but that they well address and rectify within a short time.
now what is a short time that's another thread!

The girl in the phone (I've call shop by phone) wasn't sure. She just said "Probably, T3 will be called back and we can't sold you device. Come later, at December".
It will be rumor unitl PalmOne say "Yes" or "No".

True, but why not in the states???
Maybe there are other issues other then the SD problems with the T3 in Europe that we are not aware of.
Or maybe they feel that it will be easier to address the sold units in the US alot easier as a swop out then in Europe.
Now I still don't believe that they are going to recall the units but I wont loose sleep on it if I am wrong!!!
