Hi!
I think I've found a bug in the full screen mode of T3. Anyone else seen this? See .gif picture on address http://www.familjenguldbrand.com/images/felgr.gif (should be attached to this message too).
I have both Lightspeed and T3 Optimizer installed now, but have reproduced this error even with these fixes/enhancements deleted, so I doubt it's due to them. Or if it is any other 3rd party software that produces this.
This error occurs even direct after a soft reset (without LS and T3opt). Any help appreciated.

Not happening on my T3. What steps did you use to reproduce this?

Well, that's the trick to figure out...
Anyway - it happens in some applications that state they support full screen mode too, even after a soft rest (all the builtins, for example). As seen in the picture above - in preferences, I can't use the full screen "button" in lower right corner.
After a warm reset (reset + up-button) it is back to normal, but then no network applications work (obviously). So before hard reset and reinstalling everything, I would like to know if someone else have seen this and saving me the trouble of a hard reset.

I had a similar problem with Datebk5 - sp9, but that is the only application I have this in.
It appears that the T3 is not doing a full refresh of the screen when returning to full screen mode from a dialog that does not support the virtual graffiti area.
Has not been a major problem, and I am still assuming it is something to do with Datebk, so I am just waiting for the next version.

Thanks for the tip. Tried uninstalling DateBk5, soft reset - no result. Installed latest beta, no difference. So I don't say it ain't DateBk5, but it seems to be another app for me.

I don't think is caused by LightSpeed & T3 Optimizer as I having both apps in my T T|3 without problem.

I had the same problem when I was trying to make a new network connection. Somehow the screen didn't refresh and I couldn't select or scroll to choose the connection that I wanted to use.

I am NOT convinced this is a T3 bug. I have never experienced it. I have had two issues, the SD slot and the T3 Optimizer. Otherwise my T3 has operated flawlessly. BTW, neither does my brother have any issues, even with the SD slot.
You can't make a bug statement without proof of others being able to reproduce it or trash the T3 unnecessarily. Especially if you haven't even done a hard reset yet.

I notice "Purchase at www.LinkeSoft.com" on the screen. Perhaps this is somehow connected to Screenshot? Just a thought. However, the only problem I've encountered with Screenshot is that it fails to capture the Virtual Graffiti area in Landscape mode on my T3.

What is fMML2.1 in prefs/others? I cannot reproduce this what- so-ever. Your screen is not refreshing for some reason. Probably a 3rd party program. If it still happens after a hard reset, take it back for an exchange.

I've seen this on mine too. I am using CodeDriver to extend the view for AvantGo. The DIA will not refresh sometimes when scrolling down.

Have you installed these 2 files: AppSlipRotate.prc and StatusBarLib.prc.
You MUST install them for DateBk to have the full screen
The readme of DateBk says:
you MUST install the two PRC files in the "For TungstenT3 ONLY!.zip" archive in order for the virtual graffiti feature to work properly. These libraries (AppSlipRotate.prc and StatusBarLib.prc) will override the built-in libraries in ROM and will require that you do a RESET at the end of the hotsync (this is normal and only occurs once when you install these libraries). These libraries were provide by Palm Computing - you may find other third party applications also requiring you to install these same libraries - you only need to do this once.

Hi all!
Thanks for your diggin into this problem. And yes, I have all files installed that enables the full screen mode. I might be a junior member in the forum, but Palm has been my thing since 1996.
I found the 'bug' last night. The localization software PiLoc was the one that caused this problem - everything else works great; T3 Optimizer, Lightspeed, DateBk5 (latest beta), SD card read/write (have a Vigorium card from Taiwan - no idea if it is a Sandisk rebranded, in CardInfo it says "PDC").
What initially made me suspicious was that it occured directly after a soft reset, but not a warm (reset + 'up-arrow'). So I uninstalled and installed the applications one by one (good old PilotInstall), and ended up with PiLoc from Paragon Technologies GmBH (www.penreader.com). This software is close to essential for all Palm users that does not have english as native language, and since the swedish alphabet contains 3 more letters than the english, the Palm sorts the Contacts wrong. PiLoc corrects this, and gives support to localized keyboards. I have to live without that, until PiLoc gets updated.
Thanks all for your help.

Great I was unable to duplicate this screen bug to happen on my unit.
But I also don't have PiLoc on my unit.
Thanks for the info. though.
