Lightspeed v1.3 is now available.

News in v1.3:

- Support for the Palm Tungsten T3.
- Various other smaller changes.

Tungsten T3 specific features:

- Supports the T3 320x480 screen and Dynamic Input Area.

- Supports the Lightspeed "Super power saving" setting with a bus clock speed of only 16 Mhz, and a CPU
clock speed of only 33 Mhz!
Use this setting for less CPU intensive applications to maximize battery life.

- Increases the Mp3 music playback time by 65 percent.
With AeroPlayer set to the 50/100 setting we
were able to play Mp3 music continously for 9 hours and 40 minutes! Without Lightspeed playback lasted for 5
hours and 50 minutes. Both tests were done with a fully charged T3 and with the screen turned off.

More about Lightspeed:

- Lightspeed is a Palm OS 5 XScale over/underclocking utility.
- Lightspeed lets you decide the clock settings individually for each application.
- Both applications stored in the internal RAM and ROM, aswell as applications stored on an expansion card such as Secure Digital can have their clock settings set with Lightspeed.

Registration of Lightspeed is currently 25 % off the regular price for a limited time.

I concur. I have been using LightSpeed since its release on my Clie NX70 with no issues at all. Couldn't wait for the T3 version. I have installed it on my T3 and it works flawlessly. On my Clie down clocking to 100 MHz increased the battery life while still loading apps at a decent speed. On my T3, I have set it at 200 MHz and see how the battery does. Good job, Jonatan.

Not to mention its HiRes+ too :) . And this is the first app that I have seen that disables the Landscape button.

I just downloaded it fresh . I do not even have a chance to open it; when I tap the icon, the unit hangs and reset message splash out

Try to disable your Hacks settings, in fact it should not conflict with others even I keep the CJKOS and few hacks on all the time

Great little app.
If you are registered users of a previous version, do we install this and enter our reg. code, or do we need a new reg. code?
Thanks

You do not need a new code. The current one should work fine...

BTW Jonatan, I doubt it fully supports the T3 because the high setting is lower than the Normal setting of 400Mhz. What's up?

This is a much more customer friendly overclocking app then PXA.
Highly recommended.
Has proven to be very stable and does allow you to do as it says, Under / Over clock your unit.
In addition you can add alot of time on the battery time by lowering the speeds on apps like calc, and apps that really don't require a need for speed.
I very much have enjoyed this author as well as his products.
Thanks

Do I have to use the T3Bugfix program to run Lightspeed 1.3 ?

The default high setting in Lightspeed on the T3 is the 200/600 setting, which is higher than the 400 Mhz setting.

The high and low settings in Lightspeed is not the maximum and minimum possible settings. They are settings that the user can define to be whatever they like, and helps speed up the process of changing the clock settings for the different applications.

If you have another high setting than the 200/600, then it is because you changed it to something else ( from the "Options" menu), you have synced the Lightspeed settings from an earlier version used on another device or you have had an early T3 beta version installed on your T3 prior to installing the 1.3 version.

Kenny,

You just need to remove the app preferences via ZLauncher, then enter the registration code ;) All become perfect

Or much easier, choose "Set High setting" from the "Options" menu in Lightspeed and change the high setting to the clock setting that you want it to be. :)

Yes, that definitely sound like an easier method and why not, coming from the author :)

Lightspeed works great on my T3. It has nearly doubled by battery life! I am able to set speeds on both internal and external memory. This is a good investment, if you are worried about battery life.
