My tt3 fried my 256 sd card, I have a 128 sandisk sd card, and am nervous about trying it in my tt3. Is it just the 256's?

No comment, depend to your decision :p
But if your card still under warranty, why not ? :D

Yeah, I second keelin, what are warranties there for anyway???
I have a Panasonic 256 MB card coming.
Soon as I get it I will push that puppy it right in...
I think Panasonic's warranties are for life, is that correct keelin???
If so then I will need to go out to the supermarket and buy some marshmallows.
Hmmmm when they say burn, fried, I wonder if I can toast my marshmallows with it when it burns???
I figure i'll be using my warranty alot!!!

I've had a 128K Panasonic card in my T3 since the day I bought it and I've had no problems with it.
(Your mileage may vary!)

Diito - my 128MB Lexar (Panasonic rebrand) has been working great for close to a month now...

I have tried a couple of cards and found out that if your T3 fries one it will fry them all. Just depends on if your T3 was made on Friday or Wednesday...:D

I tried my 128 sd card, I put mp3's and kinoma videos on it, it works fine. I just don't think I am gonna try a backup till theres a patch. So far so good.

yeah. the backup seems to be the major problem with these things. I'm on my third card looking for a fourth.

were they all 256's? Have u contacted palm? I am thinking the backup apps might be the main prob. The mp3's work fine with my 128

Been using my Panasonic 256M card since 9/26 with my T3 with no problems.
I thought all the SD card threads were over at BrightHand :D

ok, it just fried my 128 sd card. I was able to listen to mp3's since yesterday. Then all of a sudden it says card not recognized. I put it in my card reader and it's not recognized. Palm told me it was the 256 sandisk sd cards, looks like I am having palm replace a 256 and a 128. This is truly absurd. They haven't even publicly ackowledged this, they do when you call them though. I was just ready to sell my ux-50 because I thought my tt3 was finally able to use an sd card. Palm should be ashamed of themselves, so many users must have damaged their sd cards w/out being warned. A palm tech told me that only sd cards above 128 were affected. Palm blows.

Does anyone know if we are hours, days, weeks, months, years away from allowing the T3 owner to fully use their investments.
This silence is not to professional.
I do understand that they cant run out and announce from the mountains that they blew it, but they need to come out and say something that might make use feel a little bit secure.

This is what Palm sent me in response to my fried card....Thank you very much for your inquiry. I understand that you wish to
know if Palm, Inc. will replace your damaged 256mb SanDisk card.
unfortunately, currently I am not in a position to comment on the
exact stand of Palm, Inc. regarding replacement of the SanDisk SD card.
Engineers at Palm, Inc. are still investigating on this issue and a
resolution for this issue and the exact stand of Palm, Inc. regarding
replacement of the SD card should be released soon.
