Did you guys notice a difference in battery life? It seems that my NR lasted a little while longer. However, doesn't using the movie recorder/voice recorder and camera suck up more battery life? Anyways, I just noticed that it seems to drop 10% every half hr or so.

Battery life was the basically the same. My NR did NOT have a camera and my NX70 does. Now, when using the WiFi WL100 CF card, battery drain is very noticeable on the NX. I can see that using the camera and voice recorder might use a bit more, but only if they're in use.

Right, thats what I was talking about (using the recording stuff) I just noticed that battery life seemed a little less on my NX than on my NR. Thanks :)

Right, it has too, as it's using additional circuitry. All things being equal, I didn't detect a difference.

Importluva, one thing to keep in mind is that the battery percentage stuff NEVER worked right on ANY OS4 and older Palm devices, but it does work right on the NX. On the NR, the battery still showed 100% until the voltage got below 3.92v. On the NX, the percentage drops immediately as the voltage gets lower than 4.20v. So with the NR, you would have 100% for a long time, but then it would drop like crazy, whereas the NX drops immediately, but it's more of a gradual drop. But it LOOKS like it's faster since it drops below 100% immediately.

AHHH, I see
I was wondering why I dropped to 93% with a voltage of 4.1 when my NR stayed at 100...ok thanks you just reassured me of my NX's okness (if that word makes sense ;)) Thanks!

hey guys, i have a question. the nx70 is rated at 5.2 V, but the battery is always shown to be at 4.2 V when full. what's the deal with that? is it just my set, or is everyone else's like that?

The battery is actually a 3.7 volt battery, when fully charged, measures 4.2 volts peak. The 5.2 volts is needed for power supply overhead and the internal voltage regulator circuits.
