This is going to mean more skin versions just like what Mythofactory did for TapPad.

I am using FitalyStamp on my Tungsten T and wonder if the virtual version is as precise

This is tempting. FITALY is the only means of text entry I prefer to the thumb board on my T|C. If a non-slider color Palm comes out with a similar screen to the T|T3, I will be selling my T|C to get it.

I fully agree that the slider is the only BIG mistake in an otherwise stellar machine! The ideal for me would be the form factor of the Tungsten E with a virtual input area.

The slider is a definite mistake: it adds weight, cost, thickness. It tends to wear off as on my Tungsten T. And it forces extra steps to open/close it.

I didn't think I would care for the slider when I went from my NR70V to the T2 but it was good to have a small unit again. With my T2, I almost never opened the slider, but with my T3, I open it a lot (mainly to look at the skins :D) As it turns out, I really don't mind the slider at all.

Will, I am a Fitaly convert from my foray into the PPC world. Loaded this beta but it is way too buggy for me. Locked up countless applications and behaved way too erratically. Think I will leave the beta testing of this one to somebody else. I need to use my input screen very regularly and it needs to be rock solid.

It would be more helpful to tell us what applications were affected... you said countless and this may be difficult to list :) but even 3 or 4 would be more than what we know. Also "way too erratically" could be more precise: does it go beyond what we listed on the Fitaly forum announcement? Feel free to post problems on the Fitaly forum:

Sorry, will do when I get around to reloading it, probably on the weekend.
