View Full Version : T3 in DST to standard time loop?

Anyone else seeing this? At 1am today, my T3 fired off an alert to tell me that the system time was updated for Daylight Savings Time, and the time was reset to midnight.

Every time it hits 1am this happens - I had to manually set the time beyond 1am to get out of the loop!

Two things are wrong here:
The DST to standard time transition is supposed to take place at 2am -> 1am, not 1am -> midnight.

The detector isn't noticing that the unit has already reverted to standard time!

Between this, the SD card problem, the wild interrupts on power on, and the missing TIA extension programs, does anyone else feel that the QA/testing cycle was skipped to rush this thing out of the door???

Mine buzzed me awake at 1:00 --> 12:00 switch to remind me of the change. Then the alarm woke me up at 7am! In my daze i must have turned it on at the DST fallback :o

BTW shouldn't it have gone from 2am --> 1am?

I awoke to find mine dead (same as a hard reset). When the battery charged, I had to recover from the backup from my SD card. The switch alert must have come one and stayed on for 3 hrs until it died.

Mine switched at 1:00 am back to midnight, but no problems after that.

Funny glitch. Reminds me of Groundhog day.

Remember this in six months though: turn off DST and use a timesync program that syncs it to your PC.

I had no problem and it switched the time around 0100 to 0000 just fine! I was surprised to see it come on. I had totally forgotten about the time change.

Man, with all these clocks, yet I never have enough time...

No, the change was also uneventful with my T3...
Wonder if it ws because I have it set to military time???

I emailed Palm Support about why it switched at 1am instead of 2am and they basically said it was because of a conflict with a 3rd party app or a file corruption. They told me to do a hard reset.

Blah! Blah! Blah! I'm supposed to reinstall everything to supposedly solve a problem that *may* occur twice a year? No thanks!
