I have noticed that there are SD card companies called Panasonic, Lexar, PNY, and so on.
My question is on Panasonic and Lexar.
It is my understanding that these to brands are just that 2 brands, or companies.
Why then do I see some people writing 256 Lexar Panasonic as if they were on brand or company???
Thanks

I think Lexar sells SD cards that are made by other manufacturers just with their name on it. So Lexar sells SD cards that are actually made by Panasonic (I think they also sell San Disk cards). If you go to card info and scroll down it tells you the true manufacturer.

My understanding is that there are really 3 brands of SD cards - Panasonic, Toshiba and a third whose name escapes me at the moment. Everything out there is a rebranding of these 3. So when people say "Lexar Panasonic," they mean a Lexar rebranded Panasonic card.

Peppy's right - the only way you can tell who manufactured your card (unless it is one of the 3 main brands) is to look in the Card Info on your PDA.

And do not forget make sure your SD card is made in Japan :)

Ok so if they are all made by the same company when what really is the difference???
1 card could be whoever.
Just slap a brand name on it...
Why stay away for SanDisk then???
