Two new WonderSilk Skins

I was playing around last night and modified some of my other skins and came up with two variants. One is a modification to one of my MP3 skins. It cleans up things a bit and moves the Hard buttons and Arrow keys to the center of the Graffiti area. It's located <here (http://www.cliesource.com/sdownload/fileinfo.php?id=3142)>

The second skin is a minor update to that infamous skin. again, I cleaned up things a bit and added more buttons to the keypad. I still don't like the overall design (never did) but it;s still interesting. It's located <here (http://www.cliesource.com/sdownload/fileinfo.php?id=3143)> I should call this one "The Kitchen Sink" because it has everything. Well, not every function, but the maximum 40 buttons.

Both skins are in the ClieSource Skins Files section and at WonderSilkSkins.com (www.wondersilkskins.com).

How fast did the number key pad register when you tap on it? I'm try to figure out if it's the problem of my NX: when I tapped, like 1-2-3, sometime only '3' shown and sometime '1' shown, never 1-2-3. It seemed not very responsive...

Definatly not consistently responsive. Sometimes, it's quick and other times it misses taps. I speculate that this is more a function of the WonderSilk silk plug-in than the specific skin or your NX. My take is that though WonderSilk does allow fpr numeric buttons, it's "real" purpose is to provide launcher capabilities, MP3 control, and a few other functions. The fact that it can somewhat emulate TapPad is just a bonus. An inconsistently responsive bonus, but a bonus none the less.

Hopefully, TapPad will eventually come out with a solution that will be skinnable AND fast!

Always liked the Infamous One, these changes are good except for one, the keyboard button has been removed, can this be put back.

WonderMaker (and presumably, WonderSilk) only allows for 40 buttons. and there are 40 buttons currently jammed on the tiny screen. I could get rid of the cut and paste buttons and replace them with the Keyboard and Brightness Control buttons. Or I could reduce the number of user-definable launcher buttons. Or I could remove some of the keypad "special characters". Or I could.......

You know, in all seriousness, how many people really NEED the "Home" and "Menu" buttons? After all, they are on the Status bar--not as easy to hit with your finger, but they are there. This would free up a LOT of screen real estate and would free up two buttons.

Any comments?

YES remove them, I always use the status bar.

Sounds like a plan.&nbsp; Home, Menu and Find are all there so there's no really good reason to duplicate them.

Agreed, the Calc button on the skin is a plus, but the home, menu and find buttons are just duplicates of the always available status bar.

I saw in the WonderSilk program where to enter the string, but have no idea what to enter!:(

Yes, please make one without the home, menu, find as well as the hard buttons as I stll still use okey.
