I am a T|C convert. I miss the WiFi and will be looking hard at the enfora Wireless Portfolio. Anyway, what are you using Bluetooth to do?

When I had my T|C I was acatually using WiFi to:

Mail----
- Check Mail without syncing to PC
- Sync wirelessly to get mail as I was walking out the door
- Read an email message and immediately jump to the link from the email

Web---
Quickly get web based content
- AvantGo
- Weather info
- Traffic updates
- Browse web, mostely PDA friendly but not always

Office Functions
- Print documents and info from Palm
- Manage PC activities (things that could not be performed on handheld period, ie. check or manage Kazza downloads, check quotes while in conference room in meeting using Win-Hand or PalmVNC
- Copy individual files to and from PC and SD card with SMBMate
- Manage my Voice Memos with apps from http://www.audiost.com. I record a VM and instantly send to my desktop wirelessly.

Just so you know I sent my 2nd T|C back because the bottom of the screen died on both.

So I love the T|T3 but don't have any ideal how to use BT in the daily routines.

I am not asking what kinds of things that marketing and manufactureres have stated are available. I am not asking people to just say use Blueboard or BlueChat. I am asking how are you actually using BT today - like the actions I did with the T|C from above.

WHat are you doing and what extra accessories are needed to perform them, ie. USB dongle, phones, etc.

I'm actually doing everything you are (at least in the Web/Mail catagories. I haven't tried the Office stuff yet...). With the BT cell phone and my BT T|T3, I've been able to check mail, send mail, check links in e-mail (not instantly), and browse a lot of websites (a lot not PDA-screen likeable, like palmonecity :D).

When the SD WiFi card comes out for OS 5, you can do everything both within a WiFi network and w/o a WiFi network (BT) :D .

I'm using it primarily to check and reply to email and browse the web. I love to check the news and weather when I'm waiting for a meeting, etc. Also, since I travel a lot, I can access United Airlines' web site to verify flight status, itineraty and gate information.

I have had an evaluation copy of the Enfora Portfolio for a week now, and as of yet they have not been able to get it to work.

I had promissed a review in another thread, but as of yet there is not all that much to review.

Will keep all posted as soon as I either get it working or give up!

I use my BT to send and receive files from others with BT equipped Palms. I use it to surf the net and send emails and IM's from around my house and I use it to sync quite often when I can't find my cradle ;)

What is the range that of these dongles???
I was going to set one up off of my laptop which is in my nome ethernet network.
Is there any difference in brands, prices, distance, etc.???
Can I run my ethernet network, and use bluetooth together?
Can I just combine it into my network adding a # to 192.168.0.#?
I am new at this bluetooth thing and am starting to gather information for now.
Sorry for all the GREEN questions.
Thanks

I bought a Belkin Bluetooth USB dongle that can carry over 100ft. I've checked that claim out in an office setting, with walls and floors, and it seems to work just fine. I paid something like $45 for this dongle. Pretty damn cool if you ask me.

Just recently sat in a meeting where someone told me to email them a reminder, and while the meeting droned on, I sent the email...and it showed up in their Inbox during the meeting [this guy's laptop was being used for a presentation so everyone saw it. Everyone was stunned. I smiled and said that I was beta testing a new ESP to Outlook interface :D .

I do the following:

T3 to PC:
- wireless Sync
- browse the web

T3 to 6310i:
- browse the web
- SMS messaging
- send / receive e-mail
- dialer

I plan on using PalmVNC and SMBMate, sometime when I have time to install and config. them. I'm also looking for good VPN, SSH and Telnet clients for my T3.

Is there a way to use a Bluetooth keyboard with the T3? And is there a portable bluetooth keyboard available from anyone?
