I'm having problems getting a few of my updated bitmaps to show up in my VG skin. The image below shows red circles around the icons that won't update. :( I've checked and rechecked to verify that my skin.rcp is accurate and it is. After running pilrc_ZL.exe -ro -LE32 skin.rcp temp.prc and par x temp.prc, I have the correct number of *.bin files that are created. I'm not getting any error messages. It's probably the simplest thing I'm overlooking, but darn if I can figure it out. Any suggestions, or is anyone else having similar problems?

Maybe, (just maybe) these icons are built into the apps themselves.

I've been thinking this too! I wonder if they are overiding the ones in the VG skin, and if so, how to circumvent this issue?

Interesting, it seems the Icons aren't all the same in the VG area?
I have Docs to Go in place of the mail Icon.
I have email in place of the calculator.
I have Photos in place of WebPro.

You can change them by holding down the icon for a couple of seconds. A selection box will appear allowing you to choose which icon, that is application, you want to occupy that spot. Pretty cool feature!:D

I think you're right - the program icons are overriding the ones in the skin. I think it has something to do with the way the VG area processes the icon information. Each time you tap-and-hold to change the icon, it has to go thru some kind of process to change the icon to be configured for the area. That's why the original program icons, most of which are in color, show up as b&w in the VG area. Changing them with RIconChanger somehow circumvents this process, allowing color icons to show thru.
There must be something in RIconChanger.

Jack,
Wow, that is way cool, I didn't know that, it pays sometimes to ask. I just had a feeling that there had to be a way to change them. I learn something new everyday on the T3!:D
Thank you!:)
