I'm looking at getting my own digital camera, and I know I want a Sony model. The NZ90 model Clie is nice, but I can't afford it. I'm looking at getting the TG50 (or a version with Virtual Graffiti if one is released) and possibly a 2MP or better Sony digital camera. I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent Sony camera (or another Manufacturer that uses Memory Sticks) that had 2MP (MegaPixel) or better resolution.

You may want to check dpreview.com for reviews on cameras.

so you're going to get a TG50 ($400) and a camera ($250-$400)? Maybe you should save up and get the NZ anyways, in the end, it might be the same price.

$400 digital camera from sony will get you the DSC-P7, a 3mp camera with 3x optical zoom (small too). MUCH nicer than the NZ camera.

This is me, T1000X, I'm on a different computer and don't feel like logging in.
I'm not all into the bells and whistles. My price range is the $179 to $300 range or less.

Thanks, Baker1369! The DSC-P32 looks to be the perfect model for me, and looks like it is coming out around the same time as the Clie I want! The reason why I want two seperate devices is so I can take one where the other cannot go, and visa versa.

The DSCU20 is small but has no zoom. I think it's a great camera to carry around with your CLIE.

The link above provides the review for the DSCU20.... there's other comprehensive reviews on Sony cameras as well. Check it out.

Yeah I can understand...I am into amateur photography and I have a 4 MP sony (S85) so I had no need for a clie with a camera. I got a nx60 and I am perfectly happy. It is a perfect size and the keyboard is really useful for taking notes in class. Plus, in OS5 you can view high quality jpegs right from the camera (no pgp conversion), something you could not do with the T615 (at least with the native software).

Thank you very much for pointing out that awesome review, but I'm actually considering the DSC-P32 because it is a new model with 3MP resolution (the old camera I have is a 1.3MP camera) and supports the MS Pro format. I know MS Pro is expensive, but with getting a PDA that can use it, it would be cool to have a camera that used it too. I'd love to be able to take the MS stick from the camera, and view the images on my Clie.

so you can see what you might be missing...granted stand alone digicams will always do a bit better...but it is really nice to have pda/digicam all in one and a digicam that takes decent picutres

I work in a building that has tight security, and does not allow digital cameras in the building of any kind. In fact, once management found out my old Clie (NR70V) had a camera I had to switch to a different model or get my Clie taken away :-(. I want a digital camera to use when I'm outside work, and to take pictures of the wildlife around my house. I also want it to use when I go on vacation to Houston, Texas in either April or May.

The fact that they threatened to take it away isn't all to suprising, the fact that you got away with it for a while is.
PS: You should see the Recruit, which has a somewhat similiar situation.

Who knows how they found out, it could've been through another employee who was envious or any number of ways. I was a bit upset, but then I switched to a SJ30 which I've been using since. I'm eyeing the TG50 now (been missing Polyphonic sound), and a seperate digital camera.
