Just got my new T3 and trying to set up blue tooth to my 6310. T3 finds the phone and ask passkey at entry box I can't get any further as I don't know the passkey the T3 will not settle for no entry and says it is unable to add my phone to trusted device list. I don't know what the pass key is.

Any ideas to get thro this

Use PhoneLink for pairing purpose, you may use 0000 as passkey

0000 is the standard pairing-code so unless you've changed it, it should work (is it possible to change  ). By the way, you need to use the passkey on both pairing devices, eg. T|3 and 6310.

i was able to get this to fly... if you use phone link and enter the same passkey in both the t3 and 6310 that should work... if you keep having trouble let me know and i'll try unpairing and re-pairing...

I walked into ATT store and in just two minutes had my T3 surfing the web on the 6310i they had on display. I just followed the instructions on both devices and it was a breeze. I beleive I used the pass key 1234 on both devices. I was under the assumtion that this passkey you use when connecting two new devices and is made up at that time. You enter it on T3 then the phone asks for the same number to make sure no one is trying to use your device fraudulently. I don't think it is a built in number, though, I haven't read the manual.

Things have moved on a little, managed to get the t3 to talk to a bt card on my laptop. however on the 6310 the dialog box just opens for a few seconds and then disconnects. a says cannot make this a trusted device. I think it may be a problem with my 6310 software. other than that the t3 connects no probs with the infrared and picks up email from compuserve and surfs just like it says on the box, just a pity I can't get BT to work

Get the firmware on the 6310 upgraded. It fixes bluetooth issues like this one. I had exactly the same problem before I got it upgraded. Now with firmware v5.01, previously v4.2.
Check firmware with *#0000#

On my SE T610 & T|T3, all I needed to put in was the number one in both devices. I don't think it matters much as long as the two match. I only used"0000" for pairing with the BT headset. The phone link app in the T3 made connecting a snap, all I had to do was answer a couple of simple questions.
