is ther overclocker or any1 in the progress of making 1 for the Zire71 (also Tugsten T1 and 2 in this case)??? it would be wonderful if 1 is available.... can sum1 with the knowledge of developing software try developing 1??

yes please.....we can use it since most my apps reside on the SDIO card and have a # of pdb's to go along with the sw I use

I know there is at least ONE out there...
However, it ended up leaving the user with a useless PDA after a few weeks.

Lightspeed (http://www.clievideo.com/) now has a beta out to overclock the Zire 71. Woot!

Be careful, I have fried a Palm before by overclocking.
I only ever Underclock now to save battery.

It seems from the manufacturer that the chip was made to go up to 175mhz. Palm underclocks it most probably to prolong battery life. See this link:

I can damage my zire 71 using Lightspeed at 190 Mhz?

You can always damage electronics by pushing them too hard. Most people just seem to have lockup issues with overclocking too high, but permanent damage is always a possibility.
