I have been comparing my T3 against my NX80v.
I really like and am glad that I chose to return to the land of Palm for many reasons.
BUT is it me or are the colors more vibrant on the NX80v then on the T3???
I have a Brando screen save on my NX80v and I would have thought that the colors would be more dramatic on the T3 because of it but there is a distinct difference.
I have ordered a Brando screen saver for the T3 and will know if it has anything to do with the difference.
I have installed Colorize onto the T3 but it seems to crash when I attempt to export.
Well I was wondering if anyone else with both models noticed this.
Thanks

Can't say about the NX80v, but the T3 definately has more vibrant colors than my NX60 did. My NX60 had a slight red tint to it so that the color wasn't true.

Did you have any screen protector on the NX60?
I have a NR clear cheapo protector on the T3 until the Brando arrives.
But I have a Brando on my NX and there is a definite difference.
Dont get me wrong, its nothing to make me want to return it but its difference.

No screen protectors on either. I don't care for them, they refract the backlight in a weird way.

Well, and I think this question returns to the debate of QC on the new Palms since many users have complained about dim displays.

I don't think I'd say "many". I've seen one or two posters across many boards that I monitor, largely based on one posted picture whose conditions of which we know very little.

I would say dull not dim.
The lighting on my unit is not an issue.
I have compared my unit against units that have a brightness issue.
The colors are duller vs my NX80...

I wonder if its the fact that the lighting is projected for a different area.
The Clie NX80v lights seem to be on the sides vs the T3 which I mostly see on the top and bottom...
This could play a major role in the vibrancy of the color on the units.

dull is probably a better word. And my choice of "many" comes from the fact that there is enough people with issues to warrant at least a little concern (myself being one of them)(

I have seen pics and the NX80V screen does seem more vibrant and fuller in color, although not all T3s screens are the same. I have seen two T3s next to each in a dark room. One screen is beautiful and bright and the other one is darker.:(
i want to compare my t3 soon, hopefully it's one of the bright ones, which i think it is
the screen is a lot brighter than my t665 on the highest setting, but on lowest, it's a lot dimmer than my t665

Speaking of that, I have been pleased with the range of variance for screen brightness on the T3. My T|C never seemed to get very dim.

Sometimes my screen is too bright when I'm in bed using it for reading or other things.

I did not say that it was not bright..
No just that side by side the NX80v's colors were more vibrant.
My T3 is bright enough for my taste.
Its not the brightness its that the greens are greener, reds are reder on the NX.
I feel like I am writing a Tide commercial...

*LOL*
I have seen where the T3 is lots less brighter than an NX80V. I should just take my NX80V to the store and compare...:)

I have compared the NX80 and T3 side by side too, and the NX80 does seem to be brighter and have more vibrant colours.
