Does Jackflash support T3 yet? it says it supports OS 5

They're working on it, and it seems to cause fatal crashes if the current version is used.

I don't know how much flash is there already, but if they release JackSprat as well we're set. There are 5 language versions of most things in ROM, and being able to remove the ones you don't need should give us enough free space to run everything we could possibly think of <g>.

Actually, here is some data about what's in ROM (I'm ignoring anything I don't recognize <g> or don't think is large enough to be worth worrying about). For each it appears that the 4 extra languages (esES, deDE, frFR, and itIT each take about the same amount of space, while the enUS takes anywhere from the same to far less. I won't bother listing the enUS values. So, presumably, if we could remove things from ROM we could remove at least the languages we don't need, and any apps we don't use.

Again, NOTE: I am not recommending anyone remove any of these, nor am I even sure if JackSprat will be updated to remove these. I'm just listing what I found.

Also, I ignored a bunch of files that were smaller than a couple K, so removing the languages would likely give another, say, 100K that I didn't list here. Also, for every time I only list 4 languages, or "langs", I am leaving out the US English which would be usually the same size as the other languages, sometimes smaller.

OK, I decided to total them. Along with the estimated 100+K for the other little files I estimated, it's about 3MB. Another 137K for the phone settings files (presumeably most people could just keep 1 at most), 225K more for the Quick Tour and the English file for that and we're conservatively talking about an extra 3.25GB or so even if you didn't remove any actual programs.

Also, ZLauncher's file manager shows the ROM as having 725 files taking up 14,948K. How big is the ROM? FileZ reports 16,128K (actually 16515072B). I guess I don't know for sure if you can just subtract those figures, but if you can that means there would be an additional 1180K, so a grand total of something like 4.5MB. That would be nice to have.

Sorry if I made any mistaken assumptions here. I'm not an absolute Palm geek and don't know much about the details of ROM, JackFlash, JackSprat, etc.
