We recently releases ForPhotos, software that lets you easily create a photo web page with the photos that you take using the built-in camera and Photos application on the Palm Zire 71.

Sorry, we don't have any support for the Clie yet. We hope to get to it soon though.

I hate photo handlers that "make it so easy to upload photos to a website....Why do I need to register and interface with some other website for uploading my photos???
This adds bulk to the PDA/PC experience...just sync you photos then use a free gallery like Yahoo, or anyone and simply add them as you please. PicturePlus is a great tool to view any jpeg on your PDA without having to connect to some site.
If you can describe how this software that you just spammed on this site works...Im all ears...I could be going off for no reason....

The innovative feature of ForPhotos is that you do everything to create your photo web page directly on your Zire 71. All you really have to do is take the photo. You can also use ForPhotos on your Zire 71 though to add captions and select specific photos to upload.
If you use a photo gallery like Yahoo, then you have to find time to sit at your PC, select which photos to upload, wait for the photos to upload and add captions on the website.
At least for me, when I first created my photo website, I was really good about updating it. After a while though, I rarely found the time. Now I just use ForPhotos and my friends can see new unbearably cute snapshots of my puppy every day.
Of course, there is really a part of the system that runs on your PC (or Mac). A conduit does the synchronization and uploads your photos to the website. But it just runs as part of the regular HotSync process.

how about a version that does all that and then posts to a URL that you choose? That would be cool! That way after setting up initially the site you want as your hoster, you just Hotsync

We do that now! ForPhotos is configurable to upload photos to the website of your choice.
We've published the specification for the interface the ForPhotos conduit and website are using here: http://www.forphotos.net/hosting.php
If all you want to do is upload your photos to a directory of your choosing, then we've written a simple PHP script that will do that for you. If you want to try it out, send me email at kjeffrey@forallsystems.com and I'll send you the script and some directions.

Someone sent me an email asking me to answer this question:
> Can this Zire 71 send images via email without your ap?
Yes, the Zire 71 comes with the program VersaMail and with it you can email photos as attachments.
The main advantage to ForPhotos is that it is easy to use. All you have to do is take the photos. Everything else is automatic. There is a free trial, so you can try it yourself.
