Give it time. This board is still pretty new. Once word gets out about it, this board will grow. Don't expect too much.

Here are some thoughts I shared with the Tungsten E users:
PalmOne City has only been online since October 9, 2003. Operating only for less than a month, it has taken-off and is performing above our expectations. As most things, it just takes time.
PalmOne City intends to build a tight community that focuses on palmOne users, as ClieSource focuses on Clie users. In addition, we want to prepare our citizens for OS6, which is just around the corner.
Some of it is our own fault because a lot of the information we have been sharing has been directed towards the Tungsten T3 users, but expect that to change.
You are definitely not by yourself, we would love for the forum to grow! :) We need more people like you to help other folks. In addition, we need folks to get the word out. If you like what you see at PalmOne City, tell others. Most all the information we have available can be e-mailed to others directly from a link on the page, so feel free to use that feature.
In addition, if you have any good ideas for site enhancements and/or articles, we would love to here from you.

Last, but not least, we want to thank you for being a valued citizen of PalmOne City. We appreciate the effort you make to help others and to make this a community a place people want to be. Without you, we would not be here.
Sincerely,
Lance

Keep in mind that the Zire 71 appeals more (by design) to a user that is not as "hard-core" as those who use the high-end devices such as the T|T3. I bought a Z71 for my wife, she loves it just the way it is, but she wouldn't be caught dead participating in an online community of geeks like me! LOL!
Seriously, she counts on me to keep her from getting PalmOS grease under her fingernails. I set it up on her laptop, I make sure she syncs it, I give her little tips occasionally, etc. But do I mind doing her dirty work? Nah! So why haven't I posted in the Z71 forum? I just would rather continue to soup up my high-end Clie than force new features on her.
Besides, the Z71 is so rock solid, there's hardly any need to resort to a user community for help with it, unlike the T|T3 !!!

Im not so sure about that...As far as being techy and a gadgeteer, the Z71 fits the bill rather well. it just does it with a couple plans set in the future (wifi/overclock). I dont know how deep you get, but as I patch and crack on this thing, and been a Palm user since the first month the Palm Pilot Personal came out, and the first WinCE devices, including the full windows Toshiba Libreto...I think for most geeks the slider/camera is the ticket.
Most gadget heads know that it will do everything the Tungsten line does and then some. The 400mhz is nice, but so what. I didnt expect it to be blinking fast.
Maybe I missed your point about the Z71 compared to something else, but the other posts summed it up rather well...I didnt know that the site was only a month or so up. Hope it does well. And I think you did good by getting your wife the Z71...and bet you cant keep from playing with it and the camera every so often.
Enjoy!

Speak for yourself, I'm as hard core a business user as it gets, and the Z71 fits the bill perfectly for me.
Had the T3 been out 6 months ago I may have purchased that, but the Z71 is a very functional device.

Yep...
I am an electronics POWER user in all respects.

OHH-OH-OHHHHH!!
I have my little Z loaded to the hilt with productivity apps and have her cranking HUGE (300K+) Spreadsheets with no problems. Granted, this doesn't work as well with Aeroplayer blasting in the background but that's ok.
PLUS, every single (no lie!) person that I showed the camera too went "Oooh Cool!!". None of 'em can believe a Palm has a hidden camera. Many, many possible uh, *applications* for the camera have been suggested. ;-)

i have found the camera to be a vital part in research and daily use. When Im at the library, I see an article, I dont need to check out the book, I take a picture of it. When I need a model number or description of an item, ..snap snap, and its done. There are a few short comings of the OS5 desktop for handling graphics/photos. It doesn't allow you to navigate thru the pictures easily, also would be nice to print out the notes from the desktop. as far as the Zire 71...its very handy and since I have had it, I have sold 5 of my friends into getting the Zire 71
