Bible Software for TT3

Hi All!

Just acquired for myself a Tungsten T3 and am really happy with it.

Alas, my "Scripture" program (1997-1999) doesn't quite work with it. (gives Fatal Error)

I was wondering if there's any of you out there being able to give me some advice / reviews on Bible programs that you've used before.

Lets try to keep it to sharing your own personal experience and not what others think about their Bible programs :)

Tentatively only Bible+ is support hires+(320*480*) mode but you may use Code Diver to extend other bible software to full screen mode ;)

Bible with you from GMP Soft (http://www.gmpsoft.com/index.php) works great with CodeDiver.

a 3rd party program used for "extending" the screen of programs that cant be extended?

oh and my old scripture has NIV modules.. can it be read?
KJV is my fav but my Church uses a lot of NIV.

downloaded CodeDiver and added Bible with you into it.. launched it.. erm.. looks the same as b4 :S guess i suck at this... *sigh*

In the Item Edit screen, click on the OFF button next to "Virtual Silk". Set SizeChg to Force, StartedSize and StopedSize to Long. Now you should have your App in HiRes+

i found and downloaded the 1.0.2 version.
it doesnt seem to have SizeChg

CodeDiver 1.1Beta5 works fine with BibleThumper, but not with MyBible. MyBible draws the bookmark icon and current verse about six lines below the top of the screen in 480 mode, with a blank white box above them. That effectively wipes out the first six or so verses on each page. Other than that it works OK, but losing the right half of six verses doesn't work for me.

Has anyone written MyBible to encourage them to support this feature? I'm doing it now. My now sold sony clie nx70 worked fine with mybible and the long screen. Don't know why the t3 doesn't, but it doesn't. Sure wish it would.

I can't get it to work with BibleThumper. I have the latest registered version, not the demo. Any tips to get BibleThumper working? I'm using Codediver beta 1.1b5 set to FORCE and LONG.

If I know anything about GMP Soft they are working on a compatible version of this right now. They were one of the only developers who listened to us Hi-res+ Clie users whenever we requested 320x480 support.

I am still waiting to purchase the T3, but I can assure you that the Bible With You line of software is working flawlessly on the Sony Hi-res+ screens.

I get this message when on my TT3 when i try to turn on Virtual Screen
"A longwise screen cannot be used from this model"

*sigh*

Good to hear that you got it to work. So what was the problem before? What fixed it? I am sure GMP Soft will come up with native support for the T3 soon. It would be sweet if they could support landscape viewing too.

apparently there were some files that needed to be installed together with CodeDiver, a "AppSlipRotate.prc" and "StatusBarLib.prc" file and also the "PointDisp.prc" from CodeDiver's 1.1beta5 which i missed out.

i do hope they would. its a pretty nifty piece of software. just wonder if there are any more uses for it to justify me spending $$ on it.

landscape mode would rock! wouldnt mind spending US$10 on it (that would be $40 of my currency though - four days worth of meals :S )

I hear from the people at Olive Tree that they are working on a T|T3 update for there Bible software.

I'm using QuickVerse on my T3 from the SD card with no problems at all. go to http://www.quickverse.com there are over 100 books and many translations available for the Palm OS

found my old zip file of a program called Scripture, it comes with 8 NIV_modules.PRC

is there a program that would allow me to read it cos it causes fatal error on my T|T3...

so, i'm looking for a program that can read those NIV modules. anyone knows how?

Hi Azxel,

I used to have Scripture for my PalmIII and the author sold the software to Laridian.

So, now it becomes "MyBible".

I remember they gave me some discount for buying Mybible since I bought "Scripture" before. YOu can ask their customer support do see if such discount is still available.

MyBible does not read "scripture's" bible files i.e. those NIV_Modules, you'll need to buy it for MyBible.

I already bought NIV and NKJV on MyBible, so I can't change to other bible software unless I pay again.

wrote them an email. they can give me a discount if I can supply them with the e-mail address which i used to buy it with.

haha... i've forgotten which e-mail i used (I was one of those idiots that had a lot of e-mails accounts and I've discontinued quite a few accounts), so I suppose I've to buy a whole new set. *sigh* there are account names which I cant even remember :X

since it cant read the NIV_modules, I might as well discard then... unless I intend to buy myself a really old PDA.. hehe

So far I have heard that all the companies are working on updating their products to accommodate the T3's.
Rest assured that they will be offering this update since the are offering this for the Clie units.
