So now people can customize their Palms like their Clies. I would like to see VG skins though. On a T3 that would be cool.;)

They're working on them? That's good to know . . . wonder how different the implementation is from Sony's VG . . .

There's no comparison. A completely different setup. The Palm VG includes the status bar (not separate) plus a bunch of other bitmaps - 215 in all.

This ain't gonna be a simple cut-n-paste job. But I know of at least 2 of the really good folks working on this (and I've been helping as much as I can) so it shouldn't be too much longer.

Does anyone know if the new "today" feature in the T3 can be skinned or change the background?

You're probably right. The Sony VG implementation would have been proprietary - but only because Palm didn't include VG in the OS until later (think it was included first in 5.2.1 but I'm not sure).

But, without Sony pushing the VG implementation, I doubt if Pam wwould have ever included it. So for that, we have to thank Sony.

It contains a link to a skinning/bg app for the today view
