Hi folks,
Does anyone know if there is a simulator for the T3 like the Sony NX and UX simulators? I find them invaluable when I have to test new software without having to mess with my PDA and worry about hard resets.
Thanks.

Cool. Thanks Vidge. I am downloading it now. Here is the link (http://www.palmos.com/dev/tools/simulator/) for anyone interested.

Ok. I just played around with the simulator a bit. The sony ones look just like the NX and UX would. This one looks more like a generic one. Also it only shows 320x320. Does anyone know about one that looks like the T3?
Thanks.

For the T|T3 simulator, you need an account with the palmOne PluggedIn program.
http://pluggedin.palm.com/regac/pluggedin/index.jsp
Once you sign up and get approved, you'll be able to find it. This is the REAL T|T3 simulator :D
So, if you don't wanna buy the T|T3 yet, get this :p

edeab220,
Thank you very much for the link. This is exactly what I am looking for. Very cool.
keelin,
I'll keep that in mind. I had similar experiences with the clie simulator. However the simulator helps weed out about 80 - 90% of new apps that I try out. Great timesaver if you consider the reduction in hard resets.

Did you download the simulator from the pluggedin.palm.com site after registering? It works fine for me. Take a look:

What are you using to capture the screen? I'm still having trouble doing that :( I can't get a picture with the VG up using HRCaptDM or Screenshot5 :( (using the T3, not the simulator)

Vidge,
These are screen shots from the simulator not the actual T3. Sorry. Don't know the answer to your question.
I think they should finally add a screen capturing tool as a built in application that comes with Palm units.

Yes! I did download it from pluggedin.palm.com after registering, but I got the zipped one.
When it loads, the digitizer takes the hole screen but the next screen is 320x320 and I can't get the VG... really strange...

That is really strange, Leo. Let's see if we downloaded the same file. The one I downloaded is called TungstenT3.zip. Size is 6,143 KB.

It seems to be down since yesterday morning. I don't know if you can download it from anywhere else.

Vidge,
ScreenShot 2.1 from LinkeSoft (http://www.linkesoft.com/screenshot/download.html) works great at captring the VG. Take a look:

I've downloaded the file again and now the VG area apears. But the other downloaded zip, if I'm right, had 3 .rom files now there's only one.
dgantony, two more questions:
1st DocsToGo now comes built into ROM? How do we upgrade it?
2nd Which program is "Bible With..." does it have texts in Brazillian Portuguese?
Ah, which skinners are those in screenshots? And are you using the simulator on linux?

Good to hear that it works.
1) DocsToGo is built into the ROM. You can upgrade by just installing the new version to RAM. The version in the RAM will then be launched. You lose about 3MB though.
2) I know that they have a spanish version. Don't know about Brazillian Portuguese. Chest out their site (http://www.gmpsoft.com/index.php)
The theme is called ZLOrange by HazarD. Check out this thread (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20072&perpage=15&pagenumber=1) at ClieSource.
I am running the simulator in windows XP.
