Excellent! I've never even hear of Code Diver before. I just downloaded it and now I've got Bonsai working full-screen. Very nice workaround that will keep me happy until Natara gets Bonsai updated for the T3.

Believe Code Diver is very familiar to those Clie NR/NX/NZ/UX users but not palm users :)
Please take a look @ http://www.jade.dti.ne.jp/~imazeki/palm/cDiv/index-e.html
The developer is Imazeki-san who develop McFile, HrFontMapper, ...

I am not sure what I am doing long. I have installed the beta version. Then I go into code diver and add an application, specifically Bonsai. Then when I click on VirtualSilk I get a message saying "a longwise screen cannot be used from this model". Am I missing something?

Follow as per belows:-
- Go to Code Diver, make sure you switch it 'ON'
- Click on the 'ADD' and choose the application you want from the list
- Click on the 'VirtualSilk'
- Change the 'SizeChg' to 'Force'
- Change the 'StartedSize' to 'Long'
- Change the 'StopedSize' to 'Long'
- Click 'OK'
- Click 'OK'

Is there any reason to run Code Diver on a T|C, or is it really just useful for units with an extended screen?

For T3 users, it allows you to force applications that haven't yet been updated to use the full 480x320 screen to take advantage of virtual grafiitti. It doesn't work for all apps, but it's worked great for me with Bonsai.

I get the same message.

Try this...
- Go to Code Diver, make sure you switch it 'ON'
- Click on the 'ADD' and choose the application you want from the list
- Click on the 'VirtualSilk'
- Change the 'SizeChg' to 'Force'
- Change the 'StartedSize' to 'Long'
- Change the 'StopedSize' to 'Long'
- Click 'OK'
- Click 'OK'
Of course this only apply to Hires+ device
Well I'm not sure what you're doing differently, but on my T3, VirtualSilk gives me the same message every time on every app (many listed above). (("a longwise screen cannot be used from this model")) . Are there any other settings we should know about?
I've installed the CodeDiver (English) file and the WPDiver (English) file and removed both and installed only the CodeDiver file. Still nothing. Am I missing a file that needs to be there? Is it dependent on another app? :(
OK....I figured it out....There are the two DIA files that need to be present/installed to get CodeDiver to work properly (because CodeDiver itself isn't yet fully compatible with the T3!)
For anyone still having a problem, get the files here: http://www.red-mercury.com/t3.html
Now everything is right with the world again....

Thanks for suggesting Code Diver!:)
I tried it on my NX60 (don't have the T|T3 yet ;) ). It doesn't work with Vindigo, the screens get messed up. But I'm going to keep experimenting with the settings. However, it works well with DeLormes StreetAtlas 2004 Handheld. See the screenshots below.

Check that, it doesn't work with DeLorme after all. :( I'm having it hang up on me when I try to Find a location. Only hangs if Code Diver is On. I'll play with the settings and see if I can get it to work correctly.
Keelin,
I used HRCaptDM to capture the screesnshots, then pasted them together in Photoshop.

I dont get it.
I have not been able to get Code Diver to work on anything.
All I get is the following message: A long wise screen can not be used from this model.
Nice what's the sense in the T3 then????
Is it me or am I doing something wrong???
Just to recap....
I was having the same errors as Vidge and n0m0n.
I downloaded and installed the two DIA update files from http://www.red-mercury.com/t3.html
I did a soft reset.
I downloaded the Code Diver 1.1b5 demo from http://www.jade.dti.ne.jp/~imazeki/...iv/index-e.html
Installed the CodeDiverEng.prc AND the PointDisp.prc files (Not the WPDiver file)
It worked fine after that.
If this doesn't do it for you, then there might be another app conflicting with it.

I have problems using CodeDiver and Zlauncher v3.60 Build 030902. I set the VirtualSkin to "force" and AppStart -> "Long", AppStop -> "Long"
When I return to Zlauncher the screen seems to redraw forever and the digitizer stop responding. A hard reset was the only way to bail out.

You don't need to use Code Diver with the latest release of Zlauncher - it works fine on the T3 by itself. Make sure you are using version 3.62B available here http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&sid=C7192A15-F2F6-4631-98D45073F9E6A198&prodID=43812

Other apps working (more or less) with the help of CodeDiver:
CleanUp v2.02
MSDict v2.5
UltraLingua v2.07
SmartList v2.6
DigiCheck v0.1 *g*
ZL Manager v1.11
Another function is to prevent crashes happen when exiting a program with slider open.
I´ve set Force/Norm/Norm at AstroComp eg.
CodeDiver is running very stable. I´d no crashes trying progs to force HiRes+ or WideRes.

I am noticing a slight bug with Code Diver.
I have my 'Applications' forced to Long, and as the battery level goes down I get a vertical line on the screen, about 3/4" long, starting at the bottom of the battery, directly in line with the current battery level. It only starts to appear as the battery level drops below 100%, but its very annoying. You can actually see the line refreshing as the battery level is checked by the OS.
Anyone else seen this?

Where/when does it 'crash'?
What have you installed since the system ran normally?
Does the launch of CodeDiver itself cause the crash? or is it happening when you are trying to configure apps within CodeDiver?

I don't think you need to install the PointDisp.prc.

Of course, as mentioned above you have to have the T3 DIA Compatibility prc's as well.

True enough. I've been running just the CodeDiverEng.prc file with no problems.
BTW, CodeDiver was updated to 1.1Beta6 to better handle the Palm DIA. A few apps, including HandStory, operate more cleanly with the update.

I don't think that CodeDiver helps the screen rotation, only the full-screen portrait. Too many other elements involved in landscape.

Imazeki may not be fluent in English but he is quick to response with updates. I had issues with TomeRaider, SmartListToGo, BibleThumper, DayNotez, SnapperMail (for which he added an extra feature just for it) and DataViewer and he sent me a total of 4 betas in 2 days which fixed ALL of my issues.
I had to sent him screenshots which is much better than his English and definitely my japanese in trying to get across what I was saying. The only application he couldn't get right was Agendus and he said he has done all he could and only Iambic can add DIA support as BMPs were involved.

After several tests, you have to launch the software when the VG is hidden (so T3 "open") to have a good result. If you open after launching the soft, it won't work.

Mine is the same. Realize that you're basically hacking the program's interface to the OS. Some programs work better than others in that regard, some don't work at all. HandStory's behavior has changed a bit since the ROM update. Still, it's a great concept when it works, even if a little tweaking is required occasionally.

Adobe Reader for Palm Os works fine, both the index and the text.
Some apps have small redraw problems: the default Clock app in T3, WorldMate (trial), Aeroreader with skin works but looks terrible, SDS (time tracker), FileZ (just main screen info disappearing, back when redrawing, no long lists).
My greatest problem is that I cannot have the Memo app to use small fonts.
Any clues?

It has to be Avantgo version 5.3 b66, or it will not work. I think there is a more current version b73 and it will not work with this version. They actually disabled the possibility of using CodeDiver in b73.
