There is design fault with SJ33

There is design fault with SJ33 according to the technical supports of Sony HK. The IR Hotsync does not work.

Only when you connect it with power supply, you can use IR hotsync, there is not solution yet. Awaiting the factory to resolve. Sony may get back all the SJ33 from the market.

I bought it already, I got the same problem with mine SJ33. How about you?

Hmmm I don;t know that such problem exists but anyway I don't hotsync via IR as I think its too slow.

I used to think that Sony products are faultless but as the faulty memorystick slot design problem of NR70 and now the IR of SJ33 emerges, I am beginning to doubt the quality of Sony products...

Hey everybody makes mistakes - its just depends (in my opinion) how the situation is handled afterward. Does anyone remember the original PalmPilot and the problems they had with the sticker on the battery door (among various others). If Sony doesnt inconvenience their buyers with some rediculous send-in-and-wait-for-ever repair then hey, sh*t happens. Take care of it quick and painlessly.
