I recently purchased a T3...
There was a problem with it so I went back to the store to exchange it and noticed that all the box's security tape was open.
I did exchange it and am waiting for the initial charge period to test the unit.
Now when I say security tape I mean a round clear adhesive on both sides of the upper corners that hold the box closed.
Anyway, I then went to another store, (of the dame chain) and found the same thing.
I figured that the it was just that chair of stores, so I went to a competitor and they also only had box that had open security tape.
Was this normal for al or only my area?

Same issue at our local Circuit City. I watched them pull 3 T3s from the shipping box and all 3 had open tops. I'm guessing someone got a bonus for saving money on the expensive security tape.

heh, bad thing, as long as its not wrapped in ducktape i think the units might not be bad, but i would be paranoid if i got one without security tape. (just a false sense of security for me)

Yeah I understand what you mean Orincarnia.
I made sure that the paperwork was till includes in wrap, as well as the unit.
I did take the unit out of the protective bubble wrap to look at.
I made sure that the unit want charged up.
Funny thing though...
I opened the bubble wrap to check...
What if I decided not to take it.
The next guy would probably think it was a return.
