Feel free to post any T3 tips and tricks ie., if you hold down the Home button in the status bar you get a quick launch menu. But some apps don't show up, why?

You only get to see the last few used apps that are in RAM, not on SD. Would be nice if a 3rd party could make some tweaks to this behaviour :D

Let's see -

Pressing and holding the center of the 5-way launches whatever application manager you have assigned...

Pressing it once and then again will turn the palm back on and keep you in your current application (nice since the power button is so darned stiff!)

With the regular grafitti area enabled, you can tap and hold on any of the 4 icons, and it will let you re-assign the icon to an application AND show that application's icon as a replacement

Those are what I've found for now...:)

My tip: Getting color icons in the VG area.

Use RIconChanger to change your icons. Then when you use the the tap-and-hold method to change the icons in the VG to your preferred 4 apps, the icons come up in color.

I would post a screen shot if I could find a screen shot program that works :(

What about using McPhling? Doesn't it work on the T3?

McPhling works well for this - but not launched by that method...

Apps that use strokes between icons on the silkscreen area will work only if those silkscreen buttons are the same as those on the original screen. For example, if you change the Apps and Menu buttons to something else, then McPhling won't launch if you drag from those silkscreen positions. The launches are based on the apps assigned to the buttons, not the position of the buttons.

If you are in an app, pressing and holding the center button brings you back to the launcher(like the back button on the clies). If you are in the launcher, doing so pops up the categories list.

Keep 'em coming....

I never said McPhling doesn't work. McPhling does work, but not with every stroke if you assigned other apps to the VG Application icons (see other post). I assigned it to the Voice Memo button, because I hardy use voice memo's.

The best method I've found to use McPhling is to map the right press & hold of the D-Pad to the App's List, and the left press & hold of the D-Pad to the Recent App's List.

I haven't found anything that it conflicts with, and leaves all of my buttons for 1 Button Pro...

Would the Tips and Tricks forum be a better place for this thread? Could the mods move it there?

If I'm in the Palm Photo app and insert the SD card from my Pentax digital camera, the thumbnails are created right away without even a single tap. Great useability!

OOPS, My bad! Shoulda started this in the "Tips and Tricks" forum.

BTW for those who use epocrates....I noticed that when you go into the Infectious Disease section and navigate to a specific therapy, tapping on the home Icon either in the VG area or on the status bar it takes you back to the epocrates "tools" page and you can navigate back to drugs or alt med etc....COOL
