I rushed out to get the new metal T3 case from Compusa but they didn't have it yet so I went to Bestbuy and purchased it for $40 (after I realized that the T2 case wouldn't work). I used it for a couple of days and kept feeling like something wasn't secure. Everytime I went to look at the case the T3 had detached from the grooves. After playing with the case for awhile I realized that it doesn't take much to get it loose - I wasn't comfortable with that so I am going to using the flip cover for now and am actually liking the convenience. However, the first drop and I think I'll be screwed without a case. I will wait for a 3rd party case. I also noticed the case made the T3 much too bulky for my pocket.
THANK YOU - PALM ONE CITY CREATORS for making a spot for us PALM ONE users.

This is the third PDA I've had in a row that I haven't bought a case for. (NR70V, T2 and now T3) I used to rush out as soon as I got a new PDA to get a case but the NR cured me of that. I like the flip cover and with a screen protector (using ones I had left over from my NR) I feel protected.
I may look at the CoverUp again - I bought one for my T2 that I really liked. I prefer to have my PDA as small as possible.

Amen to that!!!! Although, I do like the feeling of leather in my pocket far better than metal in my pocket.

I bought metal case for my Vx (a long time ago) it didn't add much to an already slim pda. When I got a 665 i instantly bought the metal case from inno pocket, but I never used it. It added to much weight and bulk. I was fine using the flip and never had a problem. When I saw the flip cover for the T3...I fell in love. It funcitons almost identically as the 665 cover.

I've had my Clie SJ30 for over a year, and the flip cover works great for me. They look so similar, that my first thought when I saw the T3 pics was PalmOne copied the Sony design.

I really think palm did a good job on the flip cover of the T3. When I first saw they way it attached to the back I had a feeling it would continue to come off in the pocket of my lab coat, I had a few instances when one of the clips on the T665 opened and the cover was hanging. With the T3 it is very secure and I have had no problems!

I have yet to purchase a case for my T3 but I feel secure using the flip cover that Palm included with the T3. It does a good job keeping the Palm protected. With the flip cover and a screen protector in place I am more than happy to wait for the "perfect" case for my new T3
