I have been trying launchers to see what's out there that might work with my T3 and finally I tried the now famous zlauncher and it does work in 320x480 mode - YES however you can only use hires os5 themes - not the ones made for sony - I have only found a few. Have any other launchers worked? I know that Facer or Launcher X is working on a beta version????

I heard that LX is in beta for a hires+ version but ZL rocks. I've been very happy with it.

Hoping someone would start making them and post them here.
i've always used the OS5 hi-res+ but you're right, there's only a few of them out there.

Given that Z-Launcher's developers are some of the quickest in the world, I doubt it will be longer than a week or two and we'll have full support for the T|3...

What is missing? I'm using ZL in fullscreen. Are you having problem with it? What "full support" functions are missing?

Agree w/Vidge, ZL does it all now. Even the file manager runs full screen--a huge plus with 52MB of user RAM. :)

Ni+mh - I used ML until I got my T2 a couple of months ago. (Was a beta tester for ML). Decided to give ZL a whirl - and fell in love. Great app - takes the place of several (don't really need Filez anymore, for example). I'm sure I've just barely scratched the surface on what this app can do.

I like ZL as well, very good launcher, I do however miss sony's ICON (Small) view...

ZL developers were on vacation until Oct 7th, I beleive. So it may be one or two more days before a T3 supported beta version is out and 2 more days before final version released. ;)

They are back. I just got a response from Li for bug reports regarding T3 support. Anytime now :)

ZLauncher 3.62B is working on the T3 in full screen, but doesn't support Landscape just yet. This version was actually made for the Garmin. Garmin and Tapwave use the Palm 320x480 API. So what works with them should work in portrait mode on the T3.

Actually, ZL 3.62B2 works great on both portrait and landscape. I tested it on the T3 simulator. Check out these screen shots (http://www.palmonecity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=189)

I've got a few free themes in OS5 high density (320x480 for non-Sonys) on my website (see link in my signature below).
BTW: For backgrounds on the T|T3 you can also use the Windows tiling background images (c:\windows\*.bmp) as ZL will tile backgrounds that are smaller than the screen. If you use a full 320x480 background on the T|T3, it will look fine in portrait mode but not so fine in landscape mode.

This is correct. I've been using Zlauncher on my T3 since it arrived last Monday. It works fine in both portrait and landscape mode.

Very nice! Have you considered making one in brushed silver to match the T3's case?

In fact ZLauncher is the 1st launcher to support Palm Hires+ mode

I also am of the understanding that the new owners of LaunchEm are working on a hires version for both the T3 and UX50.
However, only time will tell if this is vaporware.

Yes, your right about that it does support landscape, but there is that small problem with the tile effect with backgrounds.

That's true. However, you can get around that by using tiles BGs. Check these screenshots (http://www.palmonecity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=189&perpage=15&pagenumber=2)

Z 's pretty good.
works landscape and potrait well for me.
only gripe is that i cant seem to make the icons go smaller (like on my old Clie).
overall Z's a winner. Its responsive, not errors/crashes so far, room for improvement but solid.

What do you mean? Have you not tried Menu --> Options --> Icon Setup --> Uncheck Zoom icon?
You should be able to fit as many icons on the screen as you'd like, probably more so...

I have two ZLauncher reviews on PDA Avenue (http://www.pdaavenue.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?forumid=3). I cover some stuff you can do with it with screenshots. The manual is very good at explaining the functions as well.
